My wife had been asking for one of these for a while. I was of the "won't matter to me much" mindset. But I installed one of these and after using it for a few weeks, it has changed my mind. One of these is worth having. I should have bought it years ago. It does a fantastic job at cleaning. Reduced trips to the TP roll from maybe 3 down to just 1 small one for drying. We got the 1200 which doesn't have a dryer, but I've read mixed reviews about the effectiveness of the dryer component of the 1400. She likes this one enough that she wants me to install another one in the second bathroom. Perhaps we will try the one with the dryer for that one. Installation was super easy. Just needed a 12" adjustable wrench and some pliers. From cutting the tape on the box to the first test was about 60 minutes; and part of that time was me realizing that I couldn't put an outlet where I wanted it and having to rethink that. (the power cord on the unit is not very long) I had to use an extension cord to begin with and install an outlet later. And I figure I can cut that time in half when I do the second one. Both of us also agreed that the custom "User 1" and "User 2" settings aren't of much use to us. Here's why: It can save your water temp and pressure settings as well as nozzle locations. So to use it, you should just have to push: "User 1", and then "Rear" or "Front". Sounds easy enough. But, unless you sit in "exactly" the same spot every time, the nozzle locations won't be always correct. They will be just a little off one way or the other. So really, just water temp and pressure are all we get from it. We both use the temp on high, but pressure is either going to be 2 or 3. So we just press the Pressure button once or twice to get it right, then either Front or Rear. Same number of button presses. Maybe the oscillating nozzle on the 1400 will make that better, but I don't know. If I had one complaint, it would be that the cover could be just a little stronger. I weigh right at 200 pounds (91 k). It holds up to me using for a seat while putting on my socks, but I can feel it 'give' just a little bit. Somebody much heavier might have an issue. As long as it doesn't weaken over time, it is fine for us. ... show more

I installed it myself, incredibly easy to figure out. Surprised my husband with it for christmas. We have two bidets, and this one is his favorite. The seat is always warm and comfortable and you can set 2 user default so he never has to adjust anything. Also, the water is always perfectly warm. The lid light always glow which I find weird and I know we can turn it off but honestly I don't mind it when I'm stumbling in the dark and don't want to turn on any lights. ... show more

The first one I bought was a used/refurbished offer. Big mistake. It arrived in pieces, the mechanism was in parts, the seat was “dirty” and no instruction manual was included, and you will definitely need the instructions to get the full benefits this great device offers. So, I packed up all of the loose parts back in the box, sent it back to Amazon, and chalked this one up as a lesson learned. I ordered a brand new one and it came fully assembled, beautifully packed and the mechanism fully intact. It is fairly easy to install for a hands on person who knows the very simple basics of plumbing required to get this bidet seat up and running. Once fully installed and plugged in, enjoy the fabulousness of being cleaned up with water temperature of your choice from 90-100°, the force of the stream as well as the position and width of the stream. It self cleans the “water jets” before and after use. You will have to use toilet paper to dab away any wetness as this model does not have a blow drier on it.....no joke, they do make them. Any of you who have traveled and stayed in foreign country hotels may have encountered devices like this before. I did as an airline pilot and decided I wanted one. I was not disappointed! This is a treat and you will not be disappointed if you buy a brand new one. I highly recommend this device for anyone seeking a warm water bidet and heated toilet seat. I have the Brondell S1200-RW Let's start off by saying this is an awesome device especially for me, I have a very bad back. A few herniated discs torn disc also, so wiping in the back is just not possible. This works perfect for that need. Why I knocked two stars off, this is the only model that has no air dryer, like hello who thought that was a good ideal, horrible decision in my opinion. The second knocked off star is this is suppose to be a bidet, clean both front and back, however I can not fathom how they thought a spickett from behind is ever going to reach around and get the female area clean, just not possible unless you are like bent over on the seat and even then it does not reach my urethra. I'm boggled really about this concept. Everything else works pretty well. Nice remote, blue night light, water stays warm, seat is comfortable, the lid is nice a bit too slow closing but at least no loud sound of it smacking down. I installed this myself I needed a flat head screw driver and vice grips to attach the hose to the water resevoir on the seat. ... show more

    • Doesn’t Actually Fit Round Toilets

I don’t sugar coat things, so don’t read if you hate TMI stuff. I bought this for my round toilet, but there was an overhang of 1 ½ inches off the bowl. This drives me off the wall. I can’t go into my bathroom as I’d have to look at that everyday. They could’ve made the hole smaller, but understandably, it will upset people who are bigger. Male private parts would probably have to sit out of the bowl, but going number 2 should be the priority while sitting on this seat anyways. The seat itself is rather comfy because it curves with my bottom towards the back, and evacuating while the seat is heating you feels nice. There is endless warm water, but no air dryer, though the Swash 1400 covers that for like twice the money. ... show more
