I got one of these to add to the RM4 Mini, along with another as part of a package with an RM4 Pro. They work together to help me track the temperature and humidity in my home, and since they're part of the power cable they fit unobtrusively where I put them. The main downside is that I can't figure out how to get the temperature from just one or the other (I can only manage the average), which is what I really need them for. I also wish that there was a stand-alone version of this, for rooms (like the kitchen) where no universal remote is needed. EDIT: I did manage to get a single-room temperature reading, and so moved my review up from 3 stars to 4. ... show more

If you can setup RM4 Pro Remote with Home Assistant you can set up the Sensor Accessory too. The Temperature is updated every minute. My Situation: I have a hot room and have a Mini Split System I am able (with Home Assistant) to have the RM4 send a signal to turn on for a few minutes if the temperature raises past a certain degree. I tried a different solution with Z-Wave, but it was literally 10 times more expensive and didn't work. I am very happy I found this IR Blaster and Sensor Accessory. ... show more

I am using it to control the heater in my greenhouse . My only problem is you can’t tell if you have successfully turned it on or off, the same with the up down buttons if it illustrates when it is on that would be great
