The lock seems sturdy and the bolt indicates it is hardened. Unlike another Brinks combination lock I have this ones combination dials are only accessible from the front. You can only apply pressure to the dials from one side or you have to use a thumbnail to move the dials which makes accessing the lock a little cumbersome. ... show more

    • This is the 2nd BRINKS combo lock I have tried.
The first one.. One of the tumblers would not rotate. (2nd tumbler in the row). So I returned and received a replacement 2nd lock. This lock is even worse. You can only rotate the tumblers in one direction. I am going to return it again and try ONE MORE TIME (third time is the charm?) because I have used this same version of the lock (which I purchased years ago and I loved it. Must be that things were built better a few years ago. Pretty disappointed with these so far. I feel these are 2nd hand ones that are missing a spring or something during assembly. ... show more
