Description

This limited deluxe edition with metallic edges, gorgeous cover effects, designed endpapers, and a stamped foil case continues the epic story begun in runaway bestseller and global phenomenon Quicksilver. Duty. Blood. Honor. Power. Saeris Fane doesn’t want power. The very last thing she needs is her name whispered on an entire court’s lips, but now that she’s been crowned queen of the Blood Court, she’s discovering that a queen’s life is not her own. A heavy weight rests upon her shoulders. Her ward—and her brother—need her back in her homeland…but the changes that have strengthened Saeris have also made her weak. Born under blazing suns, Saeris will surely die if she makes her way home through the Quicksilver. Which means that, once again, she must send someone else in her stead... “Keep your mouth shut. Stick to the shadows. And for the love of all seven Gods, do NOT crack any jokes.” Kingfisher of the Ajun Gate has defeated armies and survived all manner of horrors, but traveling back to Zilvaren with Carrion Swift might just be the death of him. The male just will not shut up. Hidden dangers await them down the narrow alleyways of the Silver City. Unfolding secrets pose impossible threats. Fisher must wrangle the smuggler and accomplish his goals quickly if he wants to see his mate again. A darkness falls across Yvelia. The realm and their friends are in danger. Together, Saeris and Fisher will pass through fire and brimstone to save them. Read more

  • MASTERPIECE
Format: Kindle
I can not begin to explain how excited i was to read this book! After a just over a year we finally get the sequel to Quicksilver by Callie Hart and, it does not disappoint. From the moment the story begins, readers are hopeful, ignorant & maybe just a little entitled. Now, I KNOW how that sounds, but, let the record reflect we only have Saeris’ account of how the world works, the Realm does not stop at just what we know, but what can we also learn. Brimstone begins ALMOST exactly where we left off, but just right after, we are now by the grace of our wonderful Author, finally graced with Kingfishers POV. Now while I wont give TOO much information on what happens in Brimstone, since were still technically on Release Day, in Quicksilver, when it seemed like we would never make it through a new realm, when it seemed we would never make it through Magic that we never knew truly existed, when it seemed like Gods and Fates abandoned us, FINALLY the world begins to make sense, until our brave FMC starts to understand what is happening and begins to understand her magic. Kingfishers POV is something all readers of QS wanted, but until we read it in Brimstone, we can not truly understand it. He is broken, damaged and, at the same time resilient. Fisher knows what it is to suffer, to be tormented, to have everything you ever wanted JUST out of reach. In Brimstone, that is not diluted. Fisher is still desperate but, he is desperate to protect his mate, to protect his realm, to protect his sister and friends and found family. He is desperate to finally see one of his Wolves, for the first time since the Ajun Gate, one of his fallen wolves has re-emerged. Foley is everything you expect from a self-loathing Vampire, but once he sees his friends, his family, things start to change. Now while i fully believe Foley will be an important character in Book 3, i can also see his self-loathing being his demise. But, Foley turns out to be one of the most important people to come into Saeris’ life. While Foley might be a complete question mark when we meet him, he quickly becomes a very important character as the story progresses and i firmly believe he will be instrumental in Book 3. Now, I will be the first to admit that I believe Book 3 will be titled “SALT” as per the Tria Prima, “the basis of which is always the same: Salt. Quicksilver. Brimstone.” I for one, can not wait to see what Callie Hart has in store for us with Book 3. While im sure we will learn a lot, I am also very sure that we will be left wanting while this series stretches to 5 Books in total. That said, I can not wait too see what SALT brings us NOV 2026!!!! ... show more

  • Absolutely brilliant sequel to Quicksilver
Format: Kindle
Intense. Gripping. Revealing. Shocking. Spicy. Heartfelt. Witty. Emotional. Beautiful. Brimstone. From the first sentence this book had me heart, mind and soul. Not that this surprised me given how much I loved Quicksilver. Thank all seven gods that the banter starts immediately. The banter is exquisite. And Fisher...well, he becomes even more attractive right from the beginning. Especially with the dual POV, which we got a beautiful taste of in the Quicksilver bonus chapters. His emotions, his inner monologue, his feelings...they are all laid bare on the page and it is beyond amazing. The dynamic between Fisher and Carrion absolutely shines! The not so veiled barbs; a bit of fighting over the girl; the way that forced proximity turns slowly into reluctant trust, and eventually, to understanding--- it's a bromance for the ages. At times, their conversations made me literally laugh out loud, and at times it drew tears from my eyes. What is possibly the best part of this book is how much we learn about Kingfisher, Saeris, and most especially Carrion. I won't spoil anything, but learning what lies beneath Carrion's confident, witty swagger brought me to tears. It solidifies Carrion as the best supporting character ever written. Witnessing Saeris navigate her new self and learning her abilities and to trust her instincts is empowering. There is action and a lot (and I mean A LOT) of tension in this book. Callie Hart whisks us from euphoria to dread in the turn of a page. The plot holds nothing back, thrusting us from Yvelia to Zilvaren to Sanasroth with crazy twists I never saw coming. It is emotional, witty, page-turning, brilliance!; Deserving of more than 5 stars. ... show more

  • Gods alive, sinners and martyrs ♾️ ⭐️
Format: Kindle
If I wasn’t laughing, swooning, or plot guessing then I was covering my mouth to cope with all the emotions this book made me feel. The ever evolving magic with Saeris, the utter devotion of Kingfisher, the charm and wit of Carrion, the faithful and loyal wolves, when we need them the most Onyx, and the bumbling fire sprite Archer. The dresses… how could something so small mean so much. I loved the lead up and discovery of the journal and the Fisher and Carrion Zilvaren journey was absolute “cinema.” I loved the ending and I will take my time mourning the name. I’m not sure I’ll actually be able to get over it though. I took my time and savored this. I, of course, I listened to the audio as well. Anthony Palmini was absolutely amazing. I love how his Kingfisher voice is different than his Slade voice and Rhys voice, so much talent and so hard to do! I could not imagine anyone else as Kingfisher. Stella Bloom has quickly become a favorite of mine, she was perfectly casted and took this book by storm. “When we need them the most” and the way Fisher explained what the fae believe about animals, AntP wrecked me with that scene. My only complaint was that it took 2 days for the audio to sync with my kindle app so I could ‘tap to download’ and have the audio highlighting the words being read. I had to switch back and forth between apps which was quite frustrating, not gonna lie. Not sure why that happened. ... show more
