  • Be ready for compliments!
Color: Multicolor
I purchased these lights for my cruiser bike. I really wanted to be more visible when riding in the dark. They are very bright and fun and you definitely get noticed! Lots of people came up to me asking me where I got them. They were very easy to install. They give you a lot of zip ties but you only need one to tie down the loose cord. The rubber straps broke on both boxes so I used the zip ties to attach them more securely to the spokes. It gives you peace of mind. If that strap broke while riding it could cause an accident by suddenly stopping your bike and launching you off. ... show more

  • Wheelchair Lights
Color: Color Morphing
I used these on my wheelchair. They were a little harder to install than lights I've bought previously, but they work great. I love the changing colors. They are pretty bright, so I appreciate that. I've gotten a lot of compliments on them. The battery box is square, which is more visible than some other brands I've used, but I was able to make it work. ... show more

  • Great, Fun, Lights!
Color: Pastel
I purchased 5 sets of these, two for children's bikes and three for adult bikes. The silicone straps broke after one bike ride. The straps on a couple of the bikes are barely long enough to reach from spoke to spoke. I have reached out to the manufacturer so we will update the review after I see what their solution is. Update, they sent me new straps and now they work great. Would recommend, great fun lights. ... show more

  • Beware: Major Point of Failure in Design
Color: Patriotic
This product is expensive trash. Unless you modify it yourself after your purchase, you might as well throw your money away since it will quickly break. It would be solid were it not for its major point of failure in its design: the battery box mounting system. It completely ruins the product. Literally - the product exploded for me because of this design flaw. I read the reviews beforehand, so I knew that it was problematic for a lot of people. Namely, overly dense and overly sparse wheel spoke spacings do not work with the battery box. That cannot be stated enough because I thought I was fine having neither particularly dense nor sparse wheel spokes, but I was not. The working range of spoke spacing is apparently very small. It’s also just not a good design period, being not evenly remotely adaptable to more than a few spacings and not secure even with a spacing that “fits” the strap. A poor quality (rubber? silicone?) strap is bound to fail eventually. I was shocked that it was less than two minutes into use, but it was inevitable with that design choice. I was able to attach the battery box to my spokes, but it seems the connecting strap was too strained, with the bumps of the mildly cracked asphalt in front of my apartment proving too much for it to handle. Choose a wider strap loop meant it wasn’t secure either, though, being too loose. Because the strap was too strained the box exploded off my bike and onto the road. Th box ripped from the light so there’s no way to fix it. It did not last even two minutes, and with it being daytime, I never even got to use the lights outside at night. Also, the lights were rather dim. For three double A batteries a strand, they should either last longer than 48 hours or be brighter. Maybe they do last longer than 48, but I wouldn’t know since again the box exploded off my wheel. This would be fine if everything else was good in the design, but the battery box issues completely ruins the product. I could only recommend you get this product if your wheel spacing is about as wide as the box. Then, it likely would be secure enough. If you create your own mounting system, you’d also probably be fine, but you’d have to work with what’s there and there’s not much good to secure the box with besides the bars? nubs? that secure the provided strap, so it’d take more than a few minutes and quite a bit of cleverness, especially if you have rather widely spaced wheel spokes. • Straps broke. Both light ropes useless within 1 week
Color: Rainbow
I got these for my bike at Burning Man in 2022. Loved the lights! So easy to install. The strap for attaching the battery pack was easy to use. The lights looked great. Yahoo. Went out for a ride. Unfortunately — the next morning when I looked at the bike, I found that the battery pack from the rear wheel was completely gone. It had completely fallen off the wheel. Lights were kaput. I used tape to reinforce the connection of the front wheel battery pack to the tire. That survived until almost the end of the week, when I noticed it fly off as I rode. Second set of lights useless. Admittedly the ground at Burning Man in 2022 was very washboard. Pretty much constant bouncing everywhere. I imagine that the bands were simply not up to that level of persistent jostling. Still after 10 days of use, less than 50 miles of riding, both lights are completely useless. Maybe these will work for gentle rides on smooth pavement, For anything harsher than that, they need serious help to keep the battery pack in place. I guess the best part of this story is that when the batter pack came loose, it broke the connecting wires and was flung away, rather than getting tangled in moving bike parts. I’d give this 5 stars for ease of use and coolness. But falling apart so fast - sorry, gotta give it 1 star. P.S. I see there are lots of complaints in recent reviews about the strap breaking. I wonder if the manufacturer changed the strap recently. Brightz, notice up! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Update 8/19/23 - About 4 days after posting my original review we received an email from Brightz saying they wanted to make things right, and offering a replacement set of lights. I love the lights, so said yes. We’ve installed these on the bike. I noticed that the band for the battery pack is different than last year’s - very stiff, and more difficult to install. We also zip tied the battery pack to the spokes. Will make it more difficult to change batteries, but they’ll probably last the week, and I’m not interested in risking the lights just to find out if the new band is stronger than the old one. Did learn one thing - it’s important to install the battery pack right-side-up, with the light wires coming out toward the rim. Duh. We got it upside down on the front wheel. The connecting cord isn’t long enough to reach to the rim in this case. See picture. So for now we’re set. Brightz definitely gets credit for quick response. Increasing from 1 star to 2 for good customer support. Will report back again after Burning Man. Fingers crossed. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Updated 9/13/23 Well, the good news is that with the addition of the zip ties, the lights and battery pack lasted all week. Sweet. As luck would have it, one night I noticed a piece of litter (i.e. “moop” - matter out of place) that turned out to be another WheelBrightz battery pack. This was Wednesday evening, when the playa was still very smooth. Looks like their battery pack strap still isn’t adequate. I’ve upgraded the rating to 4 stars - their customer service was good, I like the lights, and I’m OK adding zip ties. Not 5 stars because I still don’t trust their battery pack strap. ... show more
