I couldn't find a reasonably priced muffler for my Troy-Bilt TB30R riding mower (Briggs & Stratton 2100 series engine). $130 everywhere. I bought this for $40 and cut off the small sleeve on the back. Fit well enough then. Glad I took a chance on this!

Got this for my 1984 Montgomery ward 11/38 riding lawn mower. The muffler that was on it when I got it was the round style on a 1” black pipe, haphazardly welded onto a heavily modified flange. Needless to say, it wasn’t the best. I found this after finding out how hard it would be to create an exhaust stack for this thing and I am happy I did. Install took maybe 5 minutes. I also opted for the extra shield to redirect the sound. Now it sounds much quieter! ... show more

    • Does not sit like my old one but does sound like a new mower.
I’m a make it work kinda guy. This wasn’t the exact muffler I needed but with an easy amount of modification it went on easy and makes a huge difference. It comes with a clip that holds the bolts in place it should come with a second exhaust gasket to make it seal, my old one was in good enough shape to use and I put it there. If it had the extra gasket I would give 5 stars . Be Careful when removing old bolts , they are easy to break and can cause a lot of extra work. ... show more

I received a genuine Briggs and Stratton replacement part. All hardware pictured was included in the package, and muffler is a good quality part. Installation was easy. I had hoped it would have been just a little bit quieter, but a definite improvement over the rusted out muffler it replaced.
