    • my snapper is a mulcher now
This was easy to install (easier still if you remove the center shaft nut - which I did not). It says "Snapper" right on the Briggs and Stratton label on the blade. My 28 inch rear engine rider is a mulcher now. This runs smooth and quiet. I am very happy. This was $48 less than locally.

    • Needs a manufacturing tweak
I like this blade; I used it on a 28” Snapper rear engine rider. For this mower it is about 1/8 to 1/4 inch too long to fit inside the mower housing rim. The mowers spindle length and design contributes to this. You may have to grind metal off both end points in order to slide it in. The first time I tapped it in with a hammer to pop it in. We will see how easy it is to get out. Once it is in it fits on the bracket nicely. Balance on the blade is excellent so don’t mess it up by grinding too much on one side. Rotation is smooth and vibration free which says a lot with a blade this heavy and shaped like it is. The cut is excellent, with above average mulching. If Briggs could tweak their manufacturing process to shorten the length a bit it would be a perfect mulching blade. ... show more

    • A Pain to Install but Good
This is a great replacement blade but was difficult to install and lack top/ bottom etching like OEM has. Cuts great and fits well, definitely recommended.

    • Works perfectly to mulch grass.
I have a Snapper riding lawnmower for over 20 years and this is only the third blade I have needed to buy. You have to have your mower set up for mulching; you cannot just replace the blade. All you need to do is close off the grass chute so that the grass remains under the mower and the blade cuts it into little pieces. Only blade I would ever buy! ... show more

    • Hard to Get On, but Works Very Well!
I have use Ninja Blades before and have always been pleased so I was happy to be able to get one for my Snapper 28" RER that I bought last spring. The blade does its job very well, as other reviewers have mentioned, it is hard to tell whether you bagged or mulched. My only complaint is that it was very difficult to get on the mower. The clearance between the end of the blade and the lip of the Snapper Hi-Vac deck is very small and I actually ended up using a rotary file to carve a bit of the lip away so I could get the blade on. Not a big deal. Pleased with the purchase, will really help grind up some of the leaves this fall! Recommend. ... show more

    • Does a good job
A well made blade that really chops things up. Will turn leaves to fine particles so I don't have to rake. Difficult to sharpen. When it gets dull, I buy another one.
