I just got an espresso machine and wanted to get a knock box to go with it because It was such a hassle having to walk to the trashcan every time. Great quality on this product. It is lightweight but really sturdy - I really have to knock on it to get the puck out sometimes and it hasn’t dented or anything. I’ve been using it a few months now, put it in the dishwasher every few days, and it still looks brand new.

Bought mine as a Amazon warehouse return, was brand new. I could not justify the full price for this but at least it matches my espresso machine.

I went years using a regular bowl to knock out my espresso handle, but after watching a few videos I came to the realization that I needed to try an actual knock box. Lemme tell you... it makes a difference in the /grind/ of the morning to have one of these at your coffee bar. Easy to use and definitely can take a hit even with its plastic-y knock bar. The padded bottom absorbs any grief you may give your portafilter in getting the puck out in a single big hit. Instead of delicately tapping the rim of a regular bowl allows me to work out any morning routine frustrations in my pursuit of caffeine. It's also really well-made and compliments my Breville Barista Pro, fitting nicely on the drip tray when not being used so it doesn't take up any additional counterspace - bonus!

We just recently got an espresso machine and about broke our trash can trying to get the grounds out of the portafilter. We got this so we could easily dumb our espresso grounds. It works great. It is small and doesn't take up much space!

This is a great solid knock box! I had used it at my daughter's house, and after she and her husband gifted us a Breville Espresso Machine, I ordered this. The box is heavy duty, very solid, so when you knock the grounds out of your portafilter, it does not fall over, nor does it show any sign that it might break. Also looks nice sitting on the counter next to the espresso machine.
