I loved this book. I did not put this book down unless I needed coffee or to use the restroom. I devoured this book. These are the type of books that I enjoy most. This was my first book I've read from Harloe Rae and I'm definitely hooked on her writing now! Breaker is a sweet and sexy brothers best friend romance full of twists and turns! Sutton has been in love with Grady since she was a little girl, but after being turned down the night before she leaves for college she tries unsuccessfully to move on. Four years later she's back and the pull towards Grady is still there and she can't deny it. Grady on the other hand believes he'll never be good enough for Sutton and tries so hard to push her away until one fateful night when he just can't push her away anymore. I loved the push and pull between these characters and my heart broke for Grady. This many truly is a good man, but was dealt the wrong hand so many times in his life that you definitely see why he thinks the way he does when it comes to Sutton, but I'm glad he was able to finally give in to his feelings and give them a shot, because anyone with eyes in their town or who knows them can see they belong together. Their chemistry is unreal, and the way they balance each other out is amazing.These two definitely do not have an easy road, and there's a lot of drama, and angst in their story, and I adored the tangled web of a story that Harloe Rae wove for us in this book. It truly was a book that once I was able to sit down and start reading I couldn't put down. If you're a lover of the brothers best friend troupe, or small town romance, or just romance in general, Breaker is definitely a book you will want to one-click today!

This was a good book with a classic romance story line. Grady is Sutton’s brother’s best friend and has been since she was little. She has always been in love with him and not subtle about it. But he rejected her coldly and broke her heart. Grady has always loved Sutton, but knew she was too good for him, didn’t want to tarnish her good name, or jeopardize his relationship with the rest of the family. I do so love a story with an alpha male who knows what he wants and claims what is his. It took a while for Grady to get there, but once he crossed that line Grady became the alpha I knew he could be. My biggest problem with this book was all the holes in the past part of the story. A big part of the story is talking about when they were little and Grady found their family, when they were close, history with his dad, happy somethings they share... but none of these things were actually explained anywhere. I still don’t understand what happened to his dad. Did he die, is he in jail, was Grady somehow responsible for that. I kept thinking I missed a book prior to this one that explained some things.

ik im going be honest hearr i wasn't sure of this book and its not because i dont love Harlow because believe me i do im just tired of the same books being written with different covers the stories are so similiar that i have to look at the covers to make sure im reading a new author or the book is so rushed that theres no story no plot no insides to hang on too and for about 6 months i didnt puck up one book then i went on facebook and seen a notification that Harlow had just released a new book now i love her pervious.books her writting is the one thing she hasnt changed just because she became popular or a USA best selling author she keeps her writing orignal no book is the same as the other in anyway there funny romantic exciting and yes they having very steamy senses because having a unique plot ok we established that now with this book because of my funk i had a hatd tome thinking shed remain original so i did something i raley do i read the reviews and the ones that came up first well some were outstandingly great reviews there was a majority that werent saying the same as i was thinking in my funk but i decieded to give it a try after asking a friend who read it and promised i would love it she and she never led me astray so i got it on ku i prayed Harlow woukdnt let me diwn exspecially after reading the reviews which i swear from here on out ill never do again because everybody has there individual opinion of a book and thats ok thats why i dont read them so i opened the book around 6pm and here i sit at i kid you not 2am because i had to put it down for an hour and half to do dinner tried to get out of it but yeah kids right lol i have to say Harlow if you evety read this girl whatever you do please dont stop writing you have a gift a beautifully talented gift i could read your shopping list and sigh and say damn that was good this book i cried i screamed yeah might have dropped my phone cause i was really mad and i might or might not have steamed up my reading glasses reading this but ill never tell so you want to know what i think after everything i say this book brought me out of my slump and brought renewed faith in reading again that im hoping i can find more good books if not ill just wait for Harlows next release So this book ticked off all the boxes and then some so you want to laugh you want to cry and you want steamed up reading glasses or you reafing screen yeah this has it all and it wasnt just all that it had a story a plot it was all there so buy this not on my recommendation but on the fact that it brought me back to reading and gave me faith in the romance community again im sorry no spoiler dont like them wont write em i cant wait for Harlows next book so yeah why are still here ho read her other books you wint regret it....well go go ( oh if theres spelling mistakes i blame Harlow)

Grady seemed so lost and sad when she first met him so Sutton started sharing “happy somethings" with Grady, and it became their thing. They may seem destined to be together, except Grady thinks Sutton deserves someone better than him. But after four years of missing Sutton, when she returns home after college he's not sure how much longer he can resist her. When Grady goes all in, he's in 100% with no turning back, and when he channels his inner romantic, gah! Get ready to swoon and be swept off your feet. His words are downright poetic, revealing the beauty that resides deep in his soul. Grady is it, my reader friends. This is what we all dream of. To be loved by someone who loves as deeply, purely and fiercely as Grady loves Sutton. Lest you think it's all hearts and roses for these two, that is far from the case. After time and distance no longer separates them, it takes some time for everyone to get with the program. And then there are outside forces conspiring against them and posing a serious threat to their happily ever after, critically testing the depth of their love and level of commitment to each other. Admittedly, I’ve been in a bit of a book funk, struggling to get through a perfectly fine book and just never connecting. Then this ray of sunshine comes into my reading orbit and Grady and Sutton chase my funk away. With writing this talented it's as if the words are dipped in magic with perfect, soul-stirring moments at every turn. In one sentence my heart is slayed and in the next I’m laughing out loud, experiencing the best kind of wild, emotional whiplash throughout the book. Enchanting perfection that touches your heart and makes your soul smile, you'll want to put this one at the top of your TBR.

Breaker: a brother’a best friend stand-alone romance by Harloe Rae. Sutton and Grady are a beautiful pairing. I always enjoy the brother’s best friend angle, and these two worked it. Grady was a lot of self-hate and dark outlooks, paired with a high pedestal for the girl of his dreams. That their inevitable took so long solely rides on his shoulders. Why he fought such an obvious perfection for so long can only be accounted by how undeserving he believed himself to be. Sutton is buckets of sunshine and happy thoughts. Pining after Gray since was seven years old. Holding out hope even through his constant rebuffs. The virgin aspect was a little annoying, but I suppose got the character Rae was crafting. While I adored their little tale I skimmed once it got to the scene with Lance. I expected it and given its placement in the story, I could already imagine how the rest would play out. Super cute bonus epilogue, that invites me to check out the book about Braelynn. All in all, not upset with the finished product. A little cliche but enjoyable nonetheless.

Grady and Sutton’s story is of absolute heartbreak. Harloe destroys us, and then painfully and slowly pieces us back together. We witness the total devastation that Grady inflicts on Sutton, only because he truly believes that she deserves someone so much better than him. Sutton never waivers in her thinking that Grady is it for her. She has been and always will be in love Grady. No other man has ever held her interest. Even with the four years of being away their feelings for each other never changed. When Sutton finally does return home, its a constant battle to get Grady to want a real future with Sutton. And even though he believes she’s better off with another man, he finally can’t deny himself any longer. He’s always loved her, its time for her to become his, forever. But, someone else has his eyes on Sutton, and he won’t go away easily. When he makes his move will they be ready to battle him for their safety, their future, their love? Or is this the final omen for Grady telling him she’s better off without him? This is another fantastic read by Harloe, it keeps the reader glued to the pages. I couldn’t swipe the pages fast enough. Loved every moment in this book, the supporting characters are great. I can so see Jace being the overbearing big brother, with great parents who support their children’s choices. I loved how right from the beginning of this book Sutton’s parents made it clear that Grady was worth the risk, he was worthy of Sutton. His poor self esteem and self image was his own doing not anyone else’s view of him. Again fantastic book...so worth the read!

This book started out really good. Not entirely sure what happened. I found it hard to finish reading about half way through. Don’t get me wrong it was an alright book, and I loved the two main characters, especially Grady but I felt like there were A LOT OF MISSING INFORMATION. I felt like I had somehow skipped over chapters because there were no details where details were needed. It was also too fast paced. I had to take a break because it was too much. I mean he turns her down, they don’t see, or speak to each other in 4 years then she comes home and like a week later they’re inseparable. I feel like there needed more push and pull. I’m kind of disappointed because I’ve heard such great reviews about this book but I don’t get it. I would be reading a chapter, get all into it and start the next chapter and something else entirely is going on a week later. And that happened too many times. I would like to read the other two books but I’m afraid my time might be wasted. On a good note though Gray is one of the most sweetest characters and absolutely adores Sutton. He’s the main reason why I didn’t abandon the book.
