This is a great shaver. It's a bit slower and louder than my old Norelco, but I've had zero pulled hairs and almost no pinches/scrapes while shaving which is a big plus! The battery capacity is crazy long, and charging is fast. Although the body is relatively large, it's still easy to grip. The cleaning system is kind of a gimmick, since the head pops of easily for brushing/tapping out the loose hairs, but it does make the shaver smell nice and hopefully gets all the hidden bits cleaned out too. I've been using various Norelco shavers for my entire adult life and never considered changing until Philips stupid policy of forced obsoleting the shaver heads would have meant I needed to buy some fake copy head or a whole new shaver. Thanks for the push! I'm a happy covert.

The series. 9 shaver in my opinion, is the closest electric shaver on the market. Since it cost almost $300.00 I can nitpick it a bit. Use a magnification mirror while shaving. The shaver does miss spots so go over your face several times to get them all. My shaver head housing is plastic and feels that it will crack easily. The shaver head needs to be cleaned with a brush often as the beard particles cluster in one spot under the shaving head. The trimmer is crescent shaped and should be straight for a clean cut. Even with top of the line electric shavers you will need about 2 ~ 5 minutes to get a good close shave.

I had two of the previous models of this razor and they were good razors that last a long time and work very well. When I had to replace my last one I of course bought the latest version and expected it would work great, what I didn't expect was for it to work this much better. This razor is very gentle on the face while giving the closest shave I have ever had. The self cleaning is so much better than the last one I had, its ready to shave again very quickly. I like that you don't have to clean it to recharge it. It travels well and I forgot to bring the charger cable and it worked for a week without charging. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I have been shaving with a safety razor and shaving cream for decades. Got tired of the mess of water everywhere. I am thrilled with the Braun series 9 shaver. Close comfortable shave in a fraction of the time. No messy clean up. No water running down to my elbows. No cleaning up the mess in the sink. I should have done this years ago. Totally worth the money. Now I have no excuses not to shave every day. Thanks Braun and Amazon.

Love the smooth shave. I had a brain shaver many years ago used it to shave my mostly bald head. Battery finally died and I used my beard trimmer for years . Beard and mustache are gone now so I decided to give this a try. It's so much better than my old Braun and doesn't irritate my face as the old Braun did. I have to use a blade to touch up a couple of spots that this shaver head won't touch. My face loves it as does my head. Definitely worth the money.

Paid over $200 for the shaver and it works great and it’s the closest shave of any electric razor I’ve used. Had it just over two months and I have to order a new head for it because the original foil had a bad spot in it and it became very sharp and painful when running it across my face. Paid $60 for a replacement and I was back in business and in a little over a month and a half it did the same thing again. I wish I could afford to keep using it but at $50 every month to two I can easily purchase a regular razor and save a lot of money. I loved it and I wish I could still use it but it has sat on my sink for the past two months being unused and it will soon go in the trash, I just hate throwing away all of that money. Disappointing for sure!
