These were just what I needed to break up all the Builder Grade "Faux Recessed" lighting in my house... I paired them with Pineapple style decorative bulbs and they look so amazing! They are simple, pretty much just a socket with a fancy metal star medallion but they look great and were fairly simple to install. You will need to do some fiddling to figure out how far the parts can screw into the socket and electrical box for the bulb to fit, but once everything is put together properly they feel secure on the ceiling. Even though I read the measurements and stats, they still ended up being way smaller than I expected. But they still look good to replace the standard contractor "boob lights" in our hallway. There is no shade - it's just a backplate behind your exposed bulb.

I only received the star part and it is smaller than my hand. I will be returning this item. I thought it came like the picture. It does not come with the glass light bulbs and I don't even know where to buy such tiny lights.

If they had mentioned that these did not come with the glass shade, I would have never purchased them. Now I have to look and find a shade that will fit these as they are small, and still be aesthetically pleasing. Which at that point won't be any kind of deal.
