Held 65” hue for a month, and then it didn’t. Plastic piece is almost the same exact copy of original. Problem is in adhesive, it doesn’t hold long term. Original worked for me for over 1.5 years

These mounting brackets were what I needed to relocate a Hue gradient lightstrip from one TV to another. As part of the preparation for installation, I was careful to use high purity isopropyl to clean the areas on the back of the TV where I was going to stick these. Even though the TV was new, I knew that between skin oils from my handling it, and residue from the production and packaging steps at the factory, the plastic surfaces would need to be clean if I was going to get the brackets to stick. After doing that, I affixed these one at a time, holding each firmly and fully in place for about 45 seconds before moving on to the next one, so that I could be sure the adhesive had the best chance to get a firm bond. Once they were all stuck on, I waited until the next day to run the gradient lightstrip around them, again so that the adhesive could have the opportunity to bond fully. Having done all of that, I haven't had any issues with any of these coming loose, so I believe that being thorough helped get a fully sticky bond. These brackets worked just like the originals, and the performance of the lightstrip is just as good as ever. While my prep steps took a few minutes total spread out over time, I would still describe the installation process as easy, as there wasn't anything complex about anything I had to do. Based on their performance, these seem like they'd be a good deal for someone needing to relocate or redo the placement of a gradient lightstrip. I'm sure they're far more economical than whatever the OEM version would be. ... show more
