    • Best Back Brace Ever Worn! Finally, pain relief!

I had to post this review so fast as I got instant relief. I already had a bad back with degenerative disc disease and more when I fell a couple weeks ago on my newly installed handicap ramp. Irony, I know, right...Anyways my back was hurting more and more each day coupled with intense hip pain. When seeing my orthopedic Dr. for my hip, we discovered that when I fell I fractured atleast 2 vertebrae. Im awaiting more results on an MRI. They are compression fractures in my lower back. Compressing not only on each other but it seems on the nerves as well for main spine. When I put this brace on, the support for my back gave me instant relief. Its been days dealing with this so Im elated. The compression that it affords you is great. Its fully adjustable by you, so you can adjust to what feel best. I know Im supposed to wear it very snug as the dr. said it will help stabalize the area until we can better access it with the MRI. It feels better more snug. I understand now what other reviewers were saying about it staying put and not bunching up. It does stay put which is another awesome feature. The stabilizer bars help it keep its form as well. Ive had braces before and tossed them just as fast as I put them on. This one will be staying. Im actually goibg to order another on for my daughter whom has back issues as well. She said WOW as soon as she put it on!! If she says something is good and comfortable we should buy stock in the company as shes very picky. So I cant thank you enough today for the relief Ive gotten. Ill be able to get around the house better and feel safer doing it with the brace to stabilize and support my lower back. About a decade ago, I had a back fusion that has caused me intermittend problems. My lower back would tighten up and I would have pain severe enough that I could not walk or participate in activities. I tried many things, including TENS, hot cold, rxs, you name it. As a last ditch effort I ordered this lumbar brace to replace the surgical one(s) I had been using but were getting old. Immediately it eased some of my pain. Right out of the box (which was easy to open) I was able to understand the way the belt worked and the direction it should go on. This belt has (you can see fom the picture) extra bands to tighten (or loosen) the back to suit support and pain levels. I wore the belt resting and over my clothes. Wearing it over my clothes felt a little more supportive. Over time, the pain went away from wearing the belt, and when I forgot to wear it, it sure let me know I felt better putting it back on. Overall, I feel it is really healing me from these additional injuries and insults my back has had since surgery. Compared to other things I have tried, I feel this is the first thing I would use, and in conjunction with a topical pain spray, I have better pain control.     • Enough back support but not too stiff

Needed support after back surgery. This brace is a happy medium between the really stiff brace received from the hospital to use and a cloth brace. Perfect to use and can be easily rolled up when need to take it off.

While this is a decently fitting belt it offers very little support when you tighten it up. The job that it does do very well is to hold Ice packs in place. I have 5 different shaped ice packs that use on my lower back. It holds them all snuggly I can move around normally not worried if the ice packs will fall out just while walking ... show more

This one is a keeper. Excellent brace - rather lightweight, but sturdy and comfortable. It has eight well positioned flex stays , very strong Velcro and very helpful silicon strips to keep the brace from riding up. All in all very good buy. My wrist size is 38, and L/XL fits well. I own three other braces, and this one seems to become most favored. I also love brace buy Mueller. It is a bit more rigid and heavy and I wear it when working out. ... show more
