have a lower back issue caused by a bulging disk -- first time I had this on out side the house was participating in a Heart Walk -- was on my feet for most of an afternoon -- haven't been able to make it that long for quite a few years -- have tried other braces that I mistakenly thought would be better because they were rigid -- turns out that this Back Brace which is 95% elastic did a better job of providing the support I need -- the Brace has rigid stays in it to keep it from rolling over and giving full coverage support -- it's a bit hard to bend over which tells me that it is not flexing but continuing to provide the support and keeping me away from positions which would cause unnecessary strain and pain -- it works well under my clothing and is not readily noticeable -- very well made and should last a very long time which is good because my back pain isn't going away any time soon

The product is excellent, exactly as described, however I measured my waist and used that to size, and the size was too large. However returning was simple and they refunded me within days (time of postal shipping). The new one I got one size smaller and it's perfect. Note, I'm a guy and I got this specifically for wearing when I need to be walking around doing yard work, it's been comfortable and reduced my back pain considerably. I wear an under shirt with the support over it and a work shirt over that.

I ordered a size XL, based off of reviews of customers my height/weight (5'5", 240lbs). It was way too large, something I never have a problem with but I didn't measure my hips exactly. I just knew the back brace that I got at walmart only went up to 48" and it was just a couple inches too right. A size Large probably wouldve worked. After purchasing several different back supports, I'm amazed at the size variances on those things. The one I decided to keep was a 4XL, yet this XL was far too large. You never know, definately do the measurements on yourself before ordering. The support seemed sound and I like the ones that have the 2-way adjustments like this one does. Very strong velcro, though the velcro pieces themselves were oddly small. The support stays are cheap plastic. I can't comment on the pain relief or comfort of the product since it didn't fit. My largest issue was the "free returns" it promises. I don't live in an area where there is a UPS Store. That is the only way to return this product for free, to bring it to a UPS Store and have them scan the QR code on your phone. I have access to a UPS drop off box and to use that, usually the shipping labels on Amazon Prime products are free when it says "free returns" on a product. Nope. I had just shy of $8 deducted from my refund for the return shipping. It would cost more than $8 in gas to drive to a UPS Store. So that sucks.

For the last year or so, I have been dealing with back pain on and off. As of 2021, it's been worse to the point I'm hobbling to walk and sitting/laying down is a nightmare because you'll have to eventually get up. I finally made an appointment to the doctors, but I needed aid in getting up, moving around, and just a bit of relief my back in the area. So I thought it couldn't hurt to try a back brace, just so my back isn't caring the blunt of the weight trying to compensate for the pain. Just got it today, and here's what I've learned from it so far. ~Does relive some of the pain and discomfit from my back. ~Comfortable to sit in. ~Comfortable to wear. ~Best to put on with partner, but otherwise easy to put on. Just go slow. ~ The bowing in it does not hurt, its really in there. Just make sure you have it facing upwards when putting on. ~Very secured in place once on. ~Helping me get to place to place. ~Wear a shirt of some sort between you and the brace. To prevent skin irritation. ~It can move a bit when you move. It's better if you are doing light movement. If it is on properly, you can easily fix it. But I can see why some are upset by this. ~I wouldn't sleep in this. Just saying. ~Measure true to size. Don't lie about it. I probably could have gone down a sizes, but I know I bloat, so the size I got is perfect for if I need an inch more for my waist. ~Otherwise, I totally support this item. It does what it needed to do. I can move and go to the BATHROOM. Thank gods.

I had a lot of hope in this product. I fell a couple years ago and dislocated my sacroiliac joint. My back has yet to fully recover. I often have back spasms when getting up from a sitting position and I routinely have pain that requires pain management. I find relief with compression, so I was looking for a brace that would give me that during work. I ordered according to the size chart and it was so large I couldn't cinch it down enough to create any meaningful compression. The stays that line the back are not rigid enough for creating support. Furthermore, when I would try to sit, it would ride up above my hips and then roll at the top. Perhaps a smaller size would be helpful, but I'm hesitant to try it with the riding up and rolling issues.

I am one that reads reviews and usually skip to the later pages to see the negative reviews too. I really couldn’t find any for this item.. and I can see why. Wonderful for my back. Had surgery about 10 years ago, and of course the discs above the surgery area are bad now. I am too young to take a chance for the next surgery to be my last, because they won’t be able to do more. So now I exercise and use this belt a lot! I can now work my short shifts in little or no pain.
