  • Worth the money
This was my first experience with a Monstrum optic. I normally run Vortex, Leopold or Burris scopes, budget and warranty types. I was very impressed with the clarity, construction and all the details put into this scope. I've got it mounted on a ar-10 .308 rifle with about 2500 rounds thru it, never any zero issues. I can shoot the same hole at 100yds or bang steel at 500. Brass guts on the inside, very nice. ... show more

  • Great beginner scope at an unbeatable price.
This is a great introductory long range scope for someone looking to get into the long range game. The turrets track accurately and the glass is acceptable for the price. My reticle passed the plumb bob test, you should check yours. Use? I recommend this scope for beginners to learn how to spin dials, properly set the AO and practice proper head positioning. Speaking of proper head position you will need to get very good at it as the 16x eye box is TINY. At 4x it's brighter that an acog has better eye relief and with practice you can scan a large area and engage targets quickly with both eyes open. If this is going on an AR style platform I recommend the monstum ultimate one piece mount and play with the magnification to determine the best location to mount the scope ( remember the eye box is TINY so you want it to be in just the right spot). The glass is acceptable out to 500 or so yards if you go much further thing get milky but still usable. I really like the simple moa reticle and once you test and learn the holds it is fast to make wind and elevation corrections without spinning dials. The reticle illumination is actually decent although aside from verifying zero and holds I really haven't found a reason to use them. This scope gathers enough light that even at dawn and dusk shooting into wooded areas I was still able to make out the dot without the illumination. I am using this for my spr setup and I carry this thing through the wilderness banging and bonking it the whole way and it has held zero. However! The couple of times I performed shoulder height drop test the poi shifted a few moa. I have scopes that cost 20 times more than the monstum that will are galaxies better than the monstum but this actually gets used because I'm not terrified of breaking/scratching/ruining it. In closing this thing is very heavy, feels cheap and has the smallest eye box I've ever personally used but I love it and use it every week without fear. If your a beginner this is the perfect tool to learn on and if your an experienced LR shooter it's a usable scope that you can ruck deep into the woods and not pucker everytime it bonks something. ... show more

  • Great scope!
For someone that doesn’t want to drop $3K or more for a scope, this will do just fine. I had it sighted in within 4-5 shots.

  • Great scope for the price!
Color: Black
I can't think of anything I dislike. Clear optics, parallax adjustment works very good. Nice easy adjust turrets. Excellent build quality. Very happy with the scope. Would be hard to beat for the price!

  • Issues
Color: Black
Scope would not hold zero on a 224 valkyrie and the reticle was not true in the tube which made trying to re-zero at different yards even harder

  • Great starter scope that doesn't break the bank.
Good for a cheap starter scope. Not as clear as the Simmons 2.5-10 duplex that I replaced but this has the moa first focal plane that my old scope did not have. Trying to learn some wind drift and bullet drop by shooting Ruger 10-22 and loving it. If I decide to get into more NRL22 there are certainly better scopes out there but at this price point I didn't break the bank to get my feet wet and it does what I need it to. ... show more

  • Spot on
Color: Black
I bought this for my 22cal PCP Air Rifle. I've never had a good scope before so take this for what it is worth. The scope has VERY clear optics. The FFP is great. The distance markings are close at 50 and 100 yards. The MOA markings seem to be correct. First day at the range we were shooting flys on the target at 50 yards. Now I know that is a factor of the guns ability, but the scope was letting us see them clear. The CONs I have is the Zoom, Illumination and object focus control knobs are VERY tight. SO tight I got a replacement thinking mine was bad. 2nd was the same. After some use they are getting better, but they are not user friendly or easy to adjust. But with everything else I'll keep it. ... show more
