Contrary to the intended purpose of these pliers, I use them to help me put on my shoes! I am partially disabled and cannot bend in order to put on shoes. Before I found these pliers, I was forced to wear only shoes that were slides, even in rain or snow!! I can now wear tennis shoes by grabbing the tan/loop at the heel with my pliers and pulling them on! Wow! I still have to wear bungee-type laces, but that’s fine with me. ... show more

It does what it's supposed to do. Moves freely, will grip things. Haven't bent or broken it yet, but it is a pair of needle nose pliers, not a high stress tool...or shouldn't be a high stress tool. Good value.

I have cactus and when weeds grow at the base of it, this needle nose is long enough to pull the weeds without getting poked. I don’t know how well it works on anything mechanical.
