This bed does not come with proper slats. Unfortunately, the wood is so thin that if you put any weight at all on them (my fiance who weighs 140 lbs) the boards bow and the feet turn leaving you with no support and a bed that droops to the floor. Also the pleather is cheap and easy to cut. Simply stabbing your toe will cut it. We have added slats, but the wood on the sides for you to screw in to is thin wood, similar to balsa wood. It’s a lot lower to the ground than I imagined. The directions weren’t clear and nothing was labeled. I had to create my own holes in most pieces. I did think they should’ve provided more planks, but overall the bed is sturdy. I purchased a bunkie board vs a box spring mattress and it has done the job. The media could not be loaded. I’ve had this bed frame for almost a full year. It was easy to assemble. It’s sturdy for the most part, besides one of the screws coming out, which caused my bed to wobble a little. But it’s nothing a new screw or super glue can’t fix. Bed frame didn’t come with any bed bug issues, compared to most. That is because it’s almost a faux leather material. Great value for money, also leaves room to store space bags underneath if necessary. I’ve been looking for another bed frame for another room. Had my dad help put this together for my son's big boy room. Out of the box everything was perfectly wrapped and undamaged/unbroken. Assembly was very easy however the bracket plates that attach each of the frame pieces weren't completely straight so we had to tap it a bit with a hammer to get it aligned. No biggie. The only thing is that the company should consider using a thicker quality faux leather. My dad used a power drill to attach the slats and accidently touched the side of the leather and it split open. I rearranged the bed to hide it until I can get that piece recovered with a nail gun. All the hardware fit perfectly. Overall the bed is great with minor/fixable issues. All the faux pieces can easily be recovered in the future. All the would slats came in great. We use a 10" boxspring on a 9" mattress and it's extremely sturdy. Both my toddlers jump and play on it and it's held up great. Perfect height. ... show more

This bed was easy to put together. It arrived quickly and all the parts were there even though the box was damaged. There were some minor pin holes and black dots on the headboard and side rails, and it was very dirty - Luke whoever packaged it had very dirty hands. But after cleaning it down with a soft cloth most everything came clean! The small pin holes aren’t noticeable from a distance so it wasn’t worth sending back. That’s the reason for the 4 instead of 5 stars. It looks beautiful and I am very happy with it. I would recommend this to a friend because it looks great, its sturdy, and you just can’t beat the price for under $200! ... show more

It took me about 1.5 hours to put together. Here is why: 1. The foot board I had to “create” or put holes to screw in the legs. Which I had to muscle with my screw driver. It was easy and fine but I was praying I was able to get them in without the holes already being there. (It worked) 2. I had to create or make new holes when installing the bed slats. Which I had to call my husband in on the last slat because I was all out of muscle. I mean my hand hurt and was red.. 3. Directions were easy. Some people said the pictures were confusing. I thought it was easy to follow along. They don’t give you written directions (example: screw this into this, it’s a pic of the part with what screw you use) 4. They don’t label well which parts go to what so you kind of have to use your best judgment. 5. You will need a screw driver- I knew that going in after reading the reviews 6. My 14 year old loves it. 7. I told her no jumping on it, as per reviews it’s not as sturdy as I’d like it. 8. Box spring is a must but we had one already. ... show more

this was pretty easy to assemble except for the footboard. there aren’t any holes for the screws so you have to eyeball where to put the two pieces that hold it up but other than that, the instructions were easy to follow and I love the way it looks. feels sturdy too, only reason I didn’t give five stars was because the headboard came a little scuffed. overall great investment. ... show more
