So far I have really been enjoying this microphone. I was going to buy the Ride mic micro but found out that I had to buy another cord separate to work with my smartphone Galaxy Note 8 I found this microphone going head to head with the rode in a video review and it did really well against it. I am new to videoing and since I was in a budget I decided to try this microphone and it's been doing the job just fine. What I have learned with a bunch of testing is I wouldn't go no further than 6 feet away or you couldn't hear me too well. It's always crystal clear and the dead cat blocks all wind while I am recording outside. It comes with a nice carrying bag but I leave it attached to the smartphone video rig I bought off of Amazon. I can only compare this microphone to the Purple Panda Lav mic and it sounds just as good. It has enough bass in my voice and it don't sound echoie like the stock mic on my smartphone. I am not a techy person but I highly recommend this for starting out. ... show more

I love this mic, makes the audio in my youtube videos sound so much better. I use to use a lav mic but have switched to this cardioid mic and I am glad I did so. This mic works perfectly with the iPhone 7 plus, you just need to use the dongle. If your'e a content creator, you should definately check out this mic. ... show more

It works very well!! I use it with my cellphone - and the audio recording quality is very good, crisp and clear - using the wind protector. The only negative or objection that I have is that it doesnt come with a clip or attachment for your phone alone - will have to rig up something so I dont have to hold the mic in my hand ... show more

This will not pick up voice but for some reason will only pick up wind noise. Talking, it will not pick up anything. If you yell, it will pick up some voice but if you blow in it, it will pick up very loud wind noise. Tried on multiple devices and platforms and have the same issue. Maybe I just got a bad one but they are NLA so I guess I'm SOL? ... show more

The sound this miniature mic captures is almost identical to the Rode mics version! You probably won't be to distinguish between them if you compare them. Just go online and watch and listen to the reviews. This mic is astonishing!
