  • Works for 2012 Audi Q5 (with caveats)
I got this to work for playing music, podcasts, and Amazon Audible books through Audi sound system. I recommend for single user because it is the best option I found, short of replacing the Audi head unit. I do not recommend if two or more devices need to connect (for example, if two people share the car) because it is too difficult to connect if another device previously connected. Pros: Sounds great Cons: * No ability to control 30 second back/forward from car (can skip to next/prev track/podcast/chapter) * Connection issue: when I've been away from the car overnight, it auto connects to my phone, but not to the Audi. * Fails to easily reconnect if another device has connected since last use. Fortunately, I've found two work arounds: With the MMI powered up: Either: 1) unplug, then plug in the tune2air (annoying since I have to fumble in the glove box), or 2) (easiest) on my phone in bluetooth (BT) settings, disconnect BT from Tune2air (or just turn bluetooth off/on). Then wait (it will reconnect after a bit) or manually reconnect to it. It takes about a minute, then it starts working. I only have to do this after being away from the car for several hours. When I park and go away for an hour or two it works fine (eg no need for work around to reconnect) Updated text/recommendation to address issues with more than one device. ... show more

  • RNS-E PU (8P0035193B)
Works perfectly with my retrofitted RNS-E PU (8P0035193B) with Audi Music Interface on an Audi A4 B6 (using iPhone 13). There are absolutely no complaints about the sound quality. Previously, I used Spotify and with this app switching tracks did not work correctly, but the manufacturer honestly warned about this in advance. I switched to Apple Music. Now switching tracks works correctly. In addition to this, I not only see information about the current track, but I can also see the complete playlist (I can select any track) through the RNS-E menu and I can even shuffle the playlist created in Apple Music using the mix button on the RNS-E . Therefore, I received even more from the purchase than I expected. I recommend this bluetooth adapter! ... show more

  • Saved so much money
I was looking to upgrade my 2009 SL550 so that I could stream audio from my phone. The SL has Bluetooth for phone but not audio. I got 2 different quotes to upgrade the system the first was $2500 and the second was $3700! This device simply plugs in and synched flawlessly with the phone and sounds great. It allows you to use all of your radio controls including the ones on the steering wheel. Great purchase! ... show more

  • 2011 Audi A4
nice and easy setup. works great with Spotify and Apple Music. only can control and play songs from phone instead of using car controls. would recommend this product if you don’t want to spend the money on a new head unit.

  • Works Well with Android BUT ...
you are going to have to do some work. This is a preliminary review and I will add to it and post pics shortly but I wanted to post this so you won't have to go sit in your car at 2 a.m. testing theories like I did. Now, the "easy" way would be to get an old iPod from somewhere and voilá! you'd be in business. However, I ride for Samsung so this review is for my fellow Fandroids LOL. I'm using a Note 8 in a 2010 Audi Q5. Let's get to it: 1. Disregard the info that says what "will" appear on the screen or what "should" pop-up upon connection. 2. Understand that because this Bluetooth Car Adapter wasn't made for Android, it will play your music but it won't read the attached data i.e., playlists, song title, artist, etc. and 3. You have to tell the Bovee where to play your music from or else it seems to pick a folder arbitrarily. Once I figured out the things above, I created folders and named them the same thing as my playlists. I put the new playlist/folder(s) IN the main Music folder in the music player on my phone. Now, all you have to do is drag and drop your songs into the proper folders. Right before you actually move your music, you're going to want to standardize the song titles/put them in the order you want them to play. More about that below. In the car, sync your Android to the Bovee. Mine came up as Tune2Air and synced like any other bluetooth device. Now, on your phone, go to your main Music folder where you put your playlist/folders and make it your Default folder. (This is you telling Bovee where to play music from.) Pick a playlist/folder and play a song. Now you can FINALLY use the controls on the steering wheel. You will see from top to bottom, "^Folder,Prev,Prev,Next,Next" Because my drive to work is short LOL, I didn't get to test selecting the ^Folder to see if it took me to the previous playlist/folder. The 1st Prev takes you the previous song (or the last song if you're on the first one) and the 2nd Prev go to the beginning of the song. Both Next's seem to take you to the next song (or the first song if you're on the last one). There is no shuffle option on the screen. This is why I said above to put the songs in the order you want in the folder because if you choose shuffle on your phone, you won't see the name of the song on the display. So, even if you skip a song you won't know what's going to play next until you hear it. That's all I got for now 🤔 I had to work for it but so far so good. Once I adjusted to the motions, I was able to FF and ReW through my folder easy enough. It's also worth it because listening to the crap on the radio made me suicidal and Sirius is nice but there's nothing like your own tried and true playlists. More to come ... ... show more
