My boyfriend has a horrible time remembering to close the shower curtain, so I bought this looking for a mold-resistant shower curtain. The bottom still molds if you don't close the curtain. If you close it, it seems to be fine. Just spraying bleach on it doesn't seem to get rid of it. I have not washed it any other way so I cannot comment on that. Other than that, it's great.
