Several reviewers have mentioned that this watch has a nice heft and weight to it. Respectfully, I’d like to offer a slightly different perspective. As an habitual wearer of chunky automatic pilot and diving watches with heavy, complex movements I find that this fairly simple, pared down quartz watch from Hugo Boss is relatively lightweight, and extremely comfortable on the wrist. If you’re accustomed to large automatics you’ll find that the arm on which you wear your watch suddenly feels very light. I’m not a big fan of silicone straps, but Boss have offered up a very nice one here. The strap is curved at the lugs so that it always remains shaped to your wrist - it won’t lay flat if you place the watch on a table - which makes this watch ideal if you want something that will comfortably fit beneath a shirt sleeve without catching. It hugs the wrist closely, without any of the gapping that might occur if the case was a little too large for your wrist. As for the design, I like it. The dial isn’t too crowded, and the only flash of colour on the second hand is a nice touch against the simple black and silver colour scheme. The face itself is made up of tiny pyramid structures that catch the light at any angle, allowing the silver hands and the matte black dials of the chronograph to stand out from the background. Do I think this is worth the sticker price? Oh, I don’t know. Personally I’m not much of a fan of fashion watches, and I usually balk at the idea of paying extra for the brand name, but I think Hugo Boss have done a respectable job. If you’re a fan of the brand I don’t think you’ll be disappointed, as the quality of the watch pretty much reflects the reputation of the Boss brand. ... show more
