Was never a coffee person until I went to Japan. I’ve tried Starbucks, Dunkin, local coffee houses near me, and sure I like a hot chocolate every now and then, but never could I get into coffee. The bitterness was always too much. But then I went to Japan, and tried this canned coffee at the recommendation of a friend who bought it at FamilyMart on a whim. Immediately, my life transformed before my very eyes. I became buff. Women threw themselves at me. All of my problems solved themselves. I got my dream job. I became rich. I was no longer mentally ill. And most importantly of all, I found a coffee I actually liked. It’s got just the right blend of sweet and bitter that doesn’t make me want to spit it out immediately. I love this coffee so much I make a 6oz can last 2-3 hours. Any quicker would be sacrilege. It’s a shame it costs so much money but the financial burden is worth it to me, because it’s a nice little treat in the morning which also helps curb my body’s apparent constant need for sugar (only 20% DV? Crazy!!). Don’t go for that crappy canned Starbucks you see at convenience stores, go the extra mile and get BOSS coffee, because it will change your life like it did mine. ... show more

    • Delish! Worth Every Penny, No Doubt!
Not quite as pristine as the black but still so yummy. They call it BOSS for good reason… it leads head and shoulders above the rest! Slightly smokey, clean and smooth. Perfect pick me up treat in the afternoon. I regret nothing!

Bought this as a fan of Yakuza, got made a fan of BOSS coffee. Genuinely, insanely good coffee that beats the hell out of Starbucks RTD's which by my estimation, are far more concerned with sugar than coffee. 110mg of caffeine per can means you're getting a kick without blowing your heart valves and the modest size means you can easily put down a can in its entirety in a sitting, as well as it being convenient for travel. I wish this was cheaper or more readily available, I would drink this regularly if I could. ... show more

It’s awesome to finally try one of Japan’s greatest vending machine drinks. The flavor is nice and it offers that nice Kick of caffeine. The cans however did arrive with a numerous amount of dents and dings. The can has a strong thick build of aluminum so it was still fine. I would just would have preferred it to not have these damages. The price is understandable do to being imported. However, I do find it difficult to spend $30 for 12 small cans. Overall, if the price was eventually reduced, and the shipping damage was fixed, I would gladly purchase again. It’s a nice once in a while treat to buy, especially as a gift. ... show more

    • Wow. Where do I even begin?
Let me take you back to October of 2017. I had made my first trip to the wonderful land of Japan and nestled in among the good people who live there. During my stop in Kyushu, I ran across this BOSS Rainbow Mountain Blend coffee at an AEON Mall. At the behest of my friend who I was staying with at the time, I bought some to consume on the spot. It was already chilled, and as soon as the coffee hit my taste buds, I was in for a real treat. I was sure to buy up some more to take home with me on the flight back to America. Don't let the 6 oz size fool you. These little coffees pack a wallop and the taste is phenomenal. Even though I'm not one to get cream or sugar in my coffee (as Brian Griffin says, I like mine black as sin), the combo of everything feels just right. The quality of the roast is quite solid. Consisting of slightly woody notes, with not a sign of burnt flavor, this should appease any coffee snob anywhere. I'm so glad Suntory finally came to their senses and started properly importing this stateside for our enjoyment. The price is certainly higher than your typical Starbucks brew, but this really is a unique experience, almost a rite of passage that everyone should go through, and a good taste of what the Japanese like to call quality coffee. This beverage gets my seal of approval. Even if you find the price a bit too high, I'd still consider getting one case for the novelty factor and, who knows, maybe you'll get hooked? :) ... show more

Fantastic coffee! The world would be a better place if this were more widely available and in every flavor like in Japan. Great pick me up. Delicious flavor. Great hot, cold, or room temp. Japan spoiled me with these and now I'm obsessed.
