  • TP or no TP the Boss Bidet is a must have for ultimate hygiene - and it pays for itself
I first got a bidet before I had shoulder surgery (for obvious reasons). I then purchased a BOSS Bidet because of it's self cleaning function and the fact that you get a 'front and back' option so regardless of how you're particular body is shaped it's thorough and gets everywhere you need it to go. The reason I'd buy another BOSS brand is number one the design is very descrete and doesn't have a "geriatric" look that my wife complained about - the control panel is solid metal and the dial is micro adjustable so you can dial in a firm blast and also a very gentle water flow. As for installation the setup was very easy and didn't even require a tool - just turn off the water flush the commode and unscrew the tank hose and attach it. (and removing the toliet seat and installing it was a bo brainer and I'm NOT handy when it comes to plumbing. Most of all our toilet paper costs have been cut more than 50%. Can't recommend this enough. While the water is chilly which is just because there is no warm water feed to the toilet - I find it refreshing, and it's so much more effective than dry toilet paper and while I still wash my hands - you will never come into contact with waste - which makes your entire bathroom cleaner and more sanitary. And I'll say again it's low profile and attractive dial panel is the best on the market for the price. Enthusiastic five stars. It is a little more expensive than some other bolt on bidets on the market but the build quality and design is worth it - I don't anticipate EVER having to replace it. ... show more

  • Not easy to install, but does the job really well.
I'm going to admit, right off the bat, that this is the first time I've used a bidet. "Why did you buy it," you might ask. Good question. Well, now that I decided to try it, I'll go into my first impressions and update this later. First, installation. The directions are horrible and small. You're supposed to go to their website for help, but you should be able to install something from the good pictures and clear directions, neither of which are found on the installation guide. Second, I really had to wrestle with the connector and the white hose. Would it kill you guys to put these pieces together for people who aren't gifted with tools? Just a suggestion. Second, you have to install the adapter to the bottom of the toilet tank BEFORE you attach the hose because the top of it doesn't turn like it should (saves them money, reduces leaks. Yeah, yeah). Third, when you finally get a pretty dirty job done, you do need to test it with a naked bottom on the seat (as several people have pointed out). It works okay, but I was kind of hoping for a gentle squirt rather than a forceful jet in your bum. There's no real way to adjust this (that I can discern) and turning it on just a little doesn't work because the nozzle only pops out when the pressure is high enough and then, "hey! Ouch" I guess I'll have to play with it a bit. The system for aligning the seat bolts is pretty smart, so I'll give them that much. It has a nozzle cleaning feature and a front/back setting that doesn't change the direction as far as I can feel it. Do I recommend this? Maybe, if you are pretty handy with tools, don't mind wrestling with parts, and can handle a strong jet hitting your butt. Overall, a pretty good product otherwise. Update: I changed my rating from 4 to 5 stars because, yeah it was challenging to install but in "hindsight" if I had watched the installation video as recommended, it might have been easier. The main reason for the change: it really works well. The issue of the aggressive stream has been fixed by quickly turning down the pressure after the jets start. I really like feeling clean after going. I definitely recommend this item now. ... show more

  • My first experience with a bidet
Color: White Black
I've owned this product for 1 month now. I also bought a different brand type for a second toilet so I can compare the two. this bidet works well. It has the dual sprayer function but I think a single sprayer would have been just as good. It is convenient to use in that the large dial works the sprayers and the smaller dial works the cleaning function. Much easier to use than the other bidet I have which is a bit more confusing. The line pressure in my application is 55PSI. And the force of the bidet stream is a bit to high. I added a T valve at the toilet supply to damp down the pressure some. It helps some. I found that if you start off by turning the dial enough to extract the sprayer then dial it back to just before the sprayer retracts, the force of the water is gentler. I like the wider spray pattern this one provides but it does mean you have to do more work to dry your self. Still saves toilet paper though. The only area of concern for me was the hookup line. It is plastic and I am concerned about springing a leak. I bought a braided stainless line to replace the plastic line. My insurance company prefers use of metal hookup lines for all fixtures. Installation was easy. But my plumbing to the toilet is newer so no problems with leaky shutoff valves or fittings. This is not the products fault and would apply no matter which brand is installed. In my experience if your toilet plumbing hasn't been touched in over 5 years be prepared for some issues. As for the cold water, this was not a problem as it is not like jumping in a cold shower at all. Overall I think this is a good product and could be improved by including a metal braided hookup line instead of plastic. The force of the stream is an issue with my other bidet so I am assuming this is true for many of these add on bidets. ... show more
