It works great i installed it on my 2000 Lexus ls400. The screen is responsive. The frame rate does suck especially when you're scrolling through Spotify. But I've never seen a radio that didn't lag, so i won't even blame it for that. Android auto works fantastic. (If it's not working for you, or it keeps saying you need to have the parking brake on, change the wire you're using. I thought my radio was broken. But then i switched to the OEM charging wire that came with my phone instead of the aftermarket one i had, and android auto worked instantly. Do not use cheap wires with android auto. I have a oneplus 9) So yeah pretty great, the screen is very bright. The sound equalizing does the job. And the resolution of the screen does suck, but against it's $300, so i don't expect it to be phenomenal. Overall i got exactly what I paid for and i love it. This is a great budget option to add Android Auto or Car Play to an older car. The unit itself is clean and doesn't look out of place even in an older car. The sound quality is great for the price. My GMT800 has a small factory amp and Bose speakers, and this unit really brought them to life. It also has a full equalizer and decent presets. The touch screen is responsive and the UI layout is easy to navigate. Android Auto function has been flawless except that you can't manipulate Maps on your phone after it's connected, you are forced to use the unit's touch screen. Not a big deal, but using Maps is much faster and easier on the phone. The workaround is simply to set up your Maps before plugging in. Backup camera integration was very easy. The camera that came with this is mediocre. The camera quality is very low resolution. It's better than nothing but I will be upgrading to a better camera in the near future. The only downside is that neither of the USB connections, either AA or normal USB charge, are capable of fast charging. I've found that when using AA, the charging can't even keep up with the phone use and you'll slowly lose charge. ... show more

Has quite a responsive display, comes with a wired microphone, carplay works as it should, and camera quality is not the best but does the job. Easy installation for my 2005 Civic. I'm glad they provide long USB cables for carplay and charging. However, the camera cable was disappointingly short, which created a whole agenda of issues, including power problems. I've tried changing the RCA cables twice and even tried a wireless device, one of which worked. I ended up contacting the manufacturer directly to at least get a replacement for the camera, which they promptly shipped. Now the cable just goes through the car's interior. This radio is very responsive, no calibration needed. Install took about 2 hours, but I have not hooked up the camera yet as it was getting too dark to see. Radios like this usually have a significant touch delay, and the handsfree voice is not clear when talking on the phone. I did not experience either of these with this radio. It is also very user friendly. Thoroughly enjoying the Apple CarPlay. The only downside to that is that you have to have your device plugged in to use it. You cannot use Apple CarPlay on bluetooth. I fought for months trying to get the darn carplay to work. I replaced the cigarette lighter plug with a dual USB adapter. Looked much better than having the USBs just hanging from the dash. However, I bought several different round USB 3.0 adapters. None worked! On a whim I bought a cheaper USB 2.0 and it works perfectly! Only buy USB 2.0 adapters if you want carplay to work. Still sounds like a tin can even with brand new speakers. Adding a small slim sub and amp to try and clean up the sound. Now months later the darn thing is randomly scanning radio stations while driving. It's set on a channel then suddenly just scans to set presets. It did it to me 5 times while driving it yesterday! I just want something reliable! Now have to deal with customer service yet again. ... show more

Installation of the unit was easy, but I had to fabricate brackets to hold it into the dash. Company was great with input on how to get the backup camera working properly. I like this head unit but it is quirky. The blue tooth works great but the CarPlay is hit or miss. Phone calls while using CarPlay have an annoying echo for whom ever I’m talking to but is fine with just the blue tooth. Good head unit for the price and capabilities. Android auto and Apple car play thru the USB works well. Installation is straight forward and the capacitive touchscreen is way better then the cheaper touch screen models. Display is reactive and works with one press most of the time. Boot up time is about 10 seconds but the camera input comes on after about 5 seconds from a dead start so backing up is almost instantaneous when shifting into reverse. Plenty of microphone cable. Interesting the lower model has a built in mic but this one requires an external connection. Camera is VGA quality but gets the job done, a bit grainy. Mine is hooked up to an amp so I can't say much about power output. Screen can be a little dim I'm bright situations but usable. Overall for what I need in added a backup camera to a car that didn't have one, I would say this is a win. Adds modern features in an all-in-one package. ... show more
