They are pretty good, sound quality is nice. Installation took some work, but that is more a vehicle issue than the speakers themselves. The only issue I have is one speaker cuts in and out and can get staticky while the other is just fine. The cutting out issue goes away if you turn the radio up loudly, but at moderate levels, it's just that one side. I've retraced wires and everything is tight and as it should be, just not sure what is going on with it. ... show more

Purchased these and used them in our 2003 Chevy Tahoe front driver and passenger door as replacements. Passenger door still works the drivers side started having issues around year 2. The speaker would cut out once and awhile until it go to the point would have to smack the door panel for it to sometimes come back on. After pulling and testing it was dead....... ... show more

Style: 5.25" 4-Way
While these speakers aren't great they are on the high side of average for low cost car speakers. The difference between these and better speakers this price isn't very noticeable. First off these are BOSS speakers, not BOSE =P It's a "4 way" in that it has a big speaker and 3 littles ones, but a quality 2,3,4 way speaker has a crossover filter so each speaker only play a specific frequency range. A cheap 4 way 'essentially' plays all sounds from all speakers. Total speaker surface will be less than a 5.35" 2 way speaker. As far as specs go, generic brand speakers over estimate, if you compare to a brand name speaker, these speakers sound more like 87db (not 90). And the 110watt RMS is dubious. It may handle that much power, but it'll be too distorted to tell what you're listening to. Sound quality starts drops off sharply after 25 watts, and is gone by 35watts.(like most oem car speakers). An amp that can provide 30watts per channel is plenty for these speakers Compared to other 5.25" speakers (I toyed with a few), this speaker has less bass than average (claims 100hz-18,000hz I couldn't hear any sound bellow 150hz, and its pretty feint until around 250hz. The high/treble was better than average. There is some sibilance (always a slight his, long hiss when 's' sounds). That's a common side effect of cheap 3/4/5 way speakers. If you can live with that, this speaker shines when listening to dialogue, highs and mids aren't muffled by bass, good choice for audiobook/talk radio fans on a budget. Speakers will sound different in every car, these were tested in large enclosure, results were worse with no enclosure, might be better in your car. The LED's need to be wired separately to the ignition (and need wires a fuse and a diode-none included). I wires them to a 9v battery to test, dim but works. ... show more

I was scared the lighting would be too bright at night since its pretty dark in my cab. But its not and id about that same brightness of my radio screen.. Sounds nice, needs to be broken in slowly before trying to max it out like all speakers but really nice quality.

I put these in my 08 Honda Odyssey. I’m just using my factory HU and no amp, so they aren’t getting the power they deserve. That being said, the sound quality is far better than the factory speakers.

So I could only give 4 ouf of 5 because I had to return them do to me not doing enough research so they wouldn't fit in my car. That being said I can say you cant beat the price and from a reputable company no less. I never actually got them to power up but they definately looked nice and everything came intact no issues with the soldering or anything like that. Im a pure novice when it comes to car audio systems so bare with me on this next part. If you are going to add anything over a 1/2" spacer buy longer screws. I was able to find almost the exact size screws (1/32 difference) but a 1/2" longer at Ace Hardware. Hopefully this helps someone and I dont just look like a fool. ... show more
