To be completely honest, my reason for purchasing this bed was because I broke my old one. When browsing beds from multiple stores and sellers my primary concern was that the bed was strong enough to last me for a while. This bed stood out among the rest not just for matching my verbiage of “heavy duty bed” but because of the price, which was a fair enough price compared to the other bed I was going to get from ikea. To my understanding the twin xl bed frame was advertised as being able to hold up to 2,500 and while it has proven to be sturdy enough to hold my 320 lb self, I don’t think it will gold anywhere close to 2,500 unless you somehow evenly distribute the full weight along the whole bed, which isn’t the case for a lot of us who like to sit up while watching tv or practice wrestling on our beds. Nevertheless the bed holds. Overall the bed was simple enough to put together between two people, and certainly much easier to put together than something from ikea, but my only gripe was that there is a small but noticeable gap where the headrests connect to the side rails which despite tightening and attempting to align as much as posible it’s still noticeable and has led to squeaking every now and then. To solve this I tighten the side screws enough so as to not strip the screw which has already slipped a couple of times. I hope this does not turn worse in the future but it’s there for now, and I will definitely post an update if it breaks.

We've struggled so much to find a King Size Bed Frame that has a large underbed storage AND has a headboard. Our dog loves to sleep under a bed so this frame was absolutely perfect. My one wish which is why this is 4 stars instead of 5 stars, is that the bed length is the exact size, maybe a smidge too small, of a king size mattress. If it had one extra inch of space, you can put the bedsheets on so much easier. Right now you kind of have to shove it down the sides because it's so tight. Other than that, it doesn't squeak, comes in a smaller box which made transport easier, and not that difficult to set up.

I really like my bed frame now that I had a replacement bedframe sent out so I could correct a couple of manufacturing mistakes. The first one is cosmetic. One of the foot posts had multiple scratches. Something I didn't like but could have DIY'd to improve. The second one was the problem. There was a crooked weld in the cross-frame for the head of the bed. The threads were fine, the hole in the head post that the ladder-like cross-frame attached to was okay but as I screwed the bolt from the post to the cross-frame, it would bind up because of the angle the bolt went in. Hints for assembling the bed: First, pay attention to the two sentences on the front of the "Assembly Instructions", especially the second sentence..."Do not fully tighten screws until all the bed parts are assembled." This is critical because each of the two posts on each end of the bed comes with a rod that connects the two posts together. That rod is secured with two clamshell caps. You won't get the clamshell to fit snuggly bolt together if you have tighted the posts already. Second, Use a manual ratchet (not a drill) with a 5/32 allen wrench tip to screw in the bolts. It will take you forever to assemble the frame using the tiny allen wrench that comes with the 26 bolts needed to assemble the frame. Se

We wanted to upgrade our toddler to a twin XL as a long-term solution because we know he will be tall. I was able to put the entire bed together alone and it was a breeze with the instructions. It took maybe two hours to put together and that was with two toddlers distracting me. We also wanted a bed with storage and had previously considered getting a low-lofted bed, but were worried our son would be afraid to be too high. This was the perfect solution! His toys fit under the bed and both kids love crawling under there like a fort. We liked it so much, we decided to order one for ourselves in the California king. The only thing we didn’t like was that there were some scratches on some parts, but the finish of the frame makes it easy to paint over if we want.
