After living with the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen) for a while, I can say they earn their reputation. The noise cancellation is the best I've used in an earbud — flights, coffee shops, and city streets all just - quiet down- in a way that still feels natural rather than pressurized. CustomTune's auto-calibration genuinely seems to make a difference, and the sound is rich and warm with that signature Bose bass that doesn't smother the mids. Immersive Audio is a real party trick — it pulls the soundstage out of your head in a way most earbuds can't. Comfort is the other standout. The wingtip-and-tip combos let you dial in a fit that stays put without fatigue, even on long sessions. Multipoint Bluetooth, wireless charging on the case, and the improved AI-based call clarity round out a properly premium package. That said, honest is honest: battery life tops out at about 6 hours (4 with Immersive Audio on), which is short compared to a lot of the competition. The case is functional but bulkier and less premium-feeling than the buds deserve at $299. Call quality is much improved but still trails the AirPods Pro. And if you already own the 1st Gen and got multipoint via firmware update, the upgrade case is thin. Bottom line: if you want class-leading ANC, gorgeous sound, and all-day comfort, these are as good as it gets. Just go in knowing you're paying flagship money and charging more often than you might .

Best ear buds I have ever owned!!! I am an audiophile and am VERY PICKY when it comes to my audio! I listen to audio ALL DAY LONG! I love BASS!! I was worried when I got these that 1. I wouldn’t get enough Bass and that 2. I wouldn’t be able to get enough volume out of these ear buds seeing that my previous ear buds wouldn’t go high enough even when they were at Max volume! So I gave these a try. I am extremely happy to report that 1. These have wonderful bass!! Which you are able to adjust using the Bose app which is pretty easy to use. Just install after you link the ear buds to your phone or computer/laptop/tablet then install the app and adjust the bass in the EQ! EZ PZ! 2.these have more than enough volume! I am able to go to about 75% volume and leave it there depending on the app I am using and hear just fine and that is using only one earbud. I use one earbud at a time so that I am able to extend the length of time that I am able to use the earbuds throughout the day as I stay up ALL day and night but when I do use both they stay at about the same volume as well. The battery life is GREAT!!! They last well throughout the day and night and I get about 3 charges from the case before I need to recharge the case. That is a charge of the right earbud the Left earbud and another full charge of the right ear bud and a partial charge of the Left ear bud before I have to recharge the case. You are able to charge the case by USB-C cable or by wireless charger. When I first started wearing these earbuds they gave me some discomfort but I was able to adapt to that and now I am fine with them and have no discomfort and they feel GREAT!! They fit great in my ears and don’t move at ALL! They are snug and at times I forget that I have them in at all lol! The case is nice and light. It’s tiny enough that it fits in my pocket and I know where it is at all times lol it has a light on the front so that when I am charging the earbuds the light radiates and when the charging case is done charging the light goes out. These are things the seller does not tell you!! When you are using the earbuds you will know the earbuds are about to go out of battery because a nice lady will come into your ear and tell you that the battery is low two times and then u will get about 20-30 more minutes of power before they die so either change the earbud if u are using only one or charge them if u are using both! They fit VERY snug in the case sometimes so snug you can’t get them out lol so no worries about them falling out of the case!! When u put them in your ear at first you will be greeted with the amount of battery life you have in the earbud. Overall I am so happy with these earbuds and I don’t want to get a new pair EVER LOL! I keep these with me 24/7 and the case is in my pocket at all times. I would HIGHLY recommend these to anyone that is interested in a pair of BOSE earbuds! These are the best earbuds I have ever had and I will be buying a new pair if I ever need to again!!

The only negative things I can say about these earbuds are: The way they plug in to the charging case is kind of weird and doesn't seem very secure, and the battery life is not the greatest, 6-8hrs at most with noise cancellation off. Everything else is pretty much amazing across the board. The Noise Cancellation is VERY solid. The ability to connect to two devices at once & switch between them via the app is pretty great. The tap controls are easier to use compared to the older Bose Earbuds I have, these only require one tap to play/pause, the old ones it was double tap. Switching Noise modes is a simple long press, next track/restart track are also tap functions which you can find in the instructions. Volume control is what you would expect, swipe one way for up, the other way for down. The build quality of the Earbuds themselves is good. They fit pretty snug with the default rubber-pieces that came on them for me, which is good because that aides in the noise cancellation/sound dampening even when you don't have the Active feature turned on. The sound quality on these things is AMAZING. This & the ANC is what you should be buying these for, superior sound & great noise cancelling tech. Are they worth the price? That's really subjective, as to how much of a music/audio snob you are. In my case, I have noticed that there are parts in several songs I've listened to for over a year, that I'm hearing notes or instrumentation clearly that was muddled or almost not even present on other sound devices. It really is that good.

NOT worth the premium to get Bose. I was going to give 3 stars, but now down to 1 after the most recent crazy problems. I purchased the Bose because I get serious ringing in my ears after flights due to the nose level and time, and the Bose were supposed to be great for eliminating noise on airplanes. I brought all of my earbuds to test them all out on the same flights. I had the Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro, Galaxy Buds2, Galaxy Buds FE, JBL Tune230NC TWS, and the Bose QuietComfort Ultra 2nd edition. There was no question that the Bose did well, but they weren't always the best. It depended on the aircraft. The Bose and the old cheap JBLs were always the top 2 of the crop. In some planes, the Bose did better, and in some the JBL was better. Samsung has the most reliable connections and stable app, but none of the Samsung earbuds were even close to the JBL and Bose for cancelling airplane noise. Unfortunately, right from the start, the Bose had quirky issues. They USUALLY worked, but quite often there were problems getting them to connect, or one would connect and the other wouldn't, and if have to put them back in the case a couple of times to get out to work. Then can the disastrous Sunday. I had the Bose with me in my son's church because of the loud music they played. But the Bose started going back. They went in an infinite loop of one earbud connecting, going into Quiet mode, then back to Aware mode, then disconnecting, while the OTHER earbud was connecting and disconnecting and switching back and forth between Aware and Quiet modes. Both earbuds would change modes or disconnect or reconnect about every 3-5 seconds, and they would be independently doing the opposite of the what the other earbud was going. It was a complete disaster. I 1) restarted my phone 2) put the earbuds back in the case for 30 second (turning them off) and then taking them back out 3) I had my phone (Galaxy S24 Ultra) forget the Bluetooth pairing connection and then re-paired the connection, and 4) deleted the app and reinstalled it. The earbuds that I was counting on completely never worked. I no longer have functioning $249 earbuds. I am glad I wasn't relying on them for a trans Atlantic flight! Anyway, they work fine in theory, although not really better than my 4 year old $50 JBLs. Note they don't work at all, after less r than 4 months of owning them. Since this happened, I've had several others having similar problems with their overpriced and now useless Bose earbuds

So far I’m very happy with these. It was a hard choice between these the ultras and the regular QC that cost half the price but are a good bang for your buck and has comparable features but I decided to go big or go home and I feel like it was very worth it. The quality of the headphones themselves feels top tier, they look good, they’re lightweight and very hard to get them to fall out of your ears, the audio quality is amazing and even better once you start messing with the EQ settings, immersive and cinema modes are great, the controls are easy, connectivity from putting them in your ears and starting music is pretty fast. The icing on the cake is the noise canceling, man is it good, like REALLY GOOD. I do blue collar work so I work in construction type environments with lots of noise and I myself work with loud machinery, sanders, vacuums, air compressors etc. and when you put these on with NC you can barely hear anything. I had to double check that my equipment was even on with these things. The only con I have is that for the price tag 6 hours is not enough battery life especially with how bulky these look. I would expect something with a 300 price tag at the bare minimum to have at least 10 hours of battery life before needing to charge but it’s something I can deal with at least they aren’t like apples headphones and earbuds that cost relatively around them price price and only come with 3 hours of battery so I can’t complain too much and all the pros heavily outweigh the 1 con, at least for me. If you’re into sports, anything athletic, working out, or on loud job sites these are amazing. Even if you’re just in it for the sound quality these are a great pick.

Over the years I’ve owned many Bose Earbuds (and a pair of QC35IIs) wired and Bluetooth. I used a pair of QC 2020s almost continuously for four years until the batteries started giving out. When that happened I thought it would be cool to have a pair of APP2 since I’m in the “ecosystem.” I used them on vacation and found them disappointing. On the flight home when the lady behind me would not shut up- and I could hear her- (and the engine noise) the first thing I did when I got home was put a pair of the Bose Quiet Comfort Ultra II in my cart and hit ‘buy.’ The second I put them in my ears I was rewarded with blessed silence and that was before I put on any music. Pros: The Midnight Violet is GORGEOUS. If you’re a fan of purple, these are for you. They’re super comfortable. Easy to get a good fit and seal. They don’t fall out and I can wear them for hours, no problem. My ears are never sore unlike the APP2. The noise cancellation is head and shoulders above the rest I don’t care what anyone else claims. There’s a reason they’re the gold standard. I put them in and I am effectively deaf (the way I like it). They have multipoint connect so it’s easy to switch between devices. I’ve always been a fan of the Bose sound signature and I think it’s better than ever. You also get an EQ in the app to tweak how you like. Cons: The case is almost twice the size of others and if you put a protective case on it (not easy to find) it makes it HUGE. Bose oddly only offers them in black and white. There is no ‘locate’ feature. C’mon Bose, even cheapy buds have this. So you have to put a case on them so you can add an AirTag to them and now your sleek, pretty earbuds look ridiculous. The touch controls are way too sensitive. If you accidentally touch one or your hair brushes one you’ll pause your music. It would be nice if we could adjust the sensitivity and assign the basic functions to one or the other. No widget. Having to go into the app is a pain. A lot of the negative feedback in the reviews here are common issues with any Bluetooth device especially if you have a lot of Bluetooth devices. That said, I haven’t experienced any of them. Bose is great about honoring their warranty so if I did have an issue I have no doubt they’d take care of me. Bottom line, if I lost them or they were damaged and I had to get on a plane tomorrow? I’d add to cart and spring for express delivery because they cover my top two priorities- comfort and the best noise canceling you can get. That they sound and look great is a bonus. If they had a locate feature and the ability to adjust the touch sensitivity I would have given them 5 stars.

My son loves these. The sound quality is amazing and they fit better and stay in better than any other earbuds. A bit expensive but they last forever. Easy to adjust for your listening pleasure, and very easy set up and use. I recommend an external case to protect them and do not recommend driving over them LOL (the reason I needed a new pair), they will not withstand that. Easy to charge and the battery life is great. I just wish they would announce who is calling and read text messages like the AirPods. They fit much better in my ear than AirPods. More comfortable and don’t fall out like the others.

I have an Android phone and I was using a different earbuds which unfortunately Im unable to use all the features it touted. So I needed an earbuds that aside from comfort I'm able to use all capabilities. I've had other Bose products and I was fairly confident that Bose wouldn't let me down. I'm happy to say that yay, I got my money's worth! The sound quality was impressive and the sample audio clip that Bose had during the setup phase really showed that off. I like that it had all these different features in there, Still Immersion, etc. So of course, I listed to my own songs and it was great. Noise cancelling was superb in my honest opinion. I heard the difference when it is on and off. I didn't hear my Mom when she was talking with the earbuds on and I'm like duh! i have the earbuds on lol. This was without any sound on so my Mom's voice was so distant and far away. I also tested the Bose with my work laptop as I conduct video meetings and again I'm very happy with it. My coworkers did not complain that they couldn't hear me so it looks like the mic placement in the Bose is great. I'm happy to no longer use my big headphones with the sticking out microphone. By the way, the Bose was Bluetooth connected to my two devices, my Android Phone and work laptop and there was no issue to start using the work laptop for the video meetings so that was very convenient. In regard to fit, I did not change the pads. It looks like medium is my size, and so far, I have not experienced any pain in my ear from wearing it too long. I've had it on for about an hour. I will have to continue to observe if I experience any pain if I wear it for more than an hour. The case itself is pretty portable, in my opinion, and it is not slippery — which I love because I don’t feel the need to purchase a case cover. This uses a USB-C and has wireless charging, and both so far have worked flawlessly. In conclusion, I totally recommend these Bose earbuds. I am using it for both work and personal reasons and so Im definitely getting the bang out of my buck.
