I've picked up a couple of Bosch (new or renewed) items without any issues, all good as new. I suffered with a Skil plunge router for a couple decades, the Skil router twisted every time it was powered up. I finally ditched the Skil with our recent house move. This Bosch router is silky smooth when powered up, like why did I not replace the Skil years ago? I recently picked up a Ridgid circular saw as my old Porter Cable was having a challenging existence from occasional use sawing stucco and concrete with a diamond blade. The main bearing on the Ridgid seized on the third cross cut of a pine 2x6, I was shocked and returned the Ridgid circular saw to the store, Ridgid used to be a great name this made me sad. Years ago I had picked up a Makita hammer drill years ago only for it to die drilling a first hole for a few foundation bolt. I got my introduction to Bosch when I bought a Bosch hammer drill which worked like a knife through butter on the concrete. I'll stick with Bosch for my electric hand tool needs. ... show more

I really like working with this router. I have the large Bosch router as well (1617evs(?)) and prefer the ease of use of the smaller one. I use it a lot as I am making speakers for the family. Lots of circular holes to cut lol
