Description

Part of the stylish new winter collection from Borges & Scott.Men's wide- brimmed cowboy style hat finished with a leather contrast band with small brass buckle and string ties. The crown has a distinctive shape with traditional indent on the dome and two deep dimples at the front of the crown creating a narrow point. The generous brim is wired so you can mould it to whatever shape you like. The inside is finished with a soft inner band for additional comfort. This hat is handmade from premium wool felt and is water repellent (ie. it will withstand normal rain, but we would advise against wearing it in very heavy rain where the felt could become saturated with water).

Excellent hat in look and quality. But it runs large - compared to my straw Stetson. I got 1/4" smaller it fit great… perhaps just a tab tighter than the Stetson. So it could be that just an 1/8th bigger would do the trick for you.

    • Skip the Mouldable Brim
I suppose I should have gone to a hat shop, rather than purchased off Amazon. I own a few Stetsons and the quality is much better. This one feels more like a "fake" cowboy hat; I guess its because of the Wired Mouldable Brim. I suggest not getting one with that feature.

Nice looking hat, but it is flimsy and frail. The other customer who spoke of the hat not being a work hat because it mishappens too easily is right. This hat has a wire frame which I often like and prefer, but in this case the wire is too thin and even dropping this hat down on a table could bend the wire and misshapen the hat. Often when I meet up with friends and family my hat inevitably ends up being passed around the room and even a simple little exchange like that would results in this hat getting tweaked.     • Good quality, build, size. Deforms easily.

It is pretty high quality. good adjustable brim. Might come a little deformed but is easy to fix. Definitely more of a show hat than work hat.

Fantastic hat at a great price. My teenage son wanted a cowboy hat, but I did not want to spend hundreds of dollars for one just in case he did not really wear it as often as he thought he would. The quality of this hat is exemplary, and my son gets tons of compliments every time he wears it.
