Loved the idea of these closing my vinyl fence gate. Had two hinges on my gate so I replaced standard hinges with two of these self closers. First two failed after a week. Bought four more thinking the gate was too heavy for just two. Replaced the broken two with four hinges. Four hinges only lasted a week as well. I will not be buying these again. 11/25/22- update Customer service excellent. They replaced all four hinges and added two additional. Very sturdy product. I like that there is a wide adjustment range on the hinges. This was very helpful as the hinge needfed to be adjusted after 2 weeks of weight on the hinge. Definately a 5 star product.

The hinges have some very nice features- adjustable width, low profile appearance. However the included screws are not a good choice for an outdoor fence. I had to purchase much longer lag screws so the screws would go through the cedar planks and into the supporting 4x4. I am also worried the main threaded bold (for adjusting width of door) is not stainless and will rust in the near future. ... show more

Replaced the hinges on my shed, needed something with adjustment these were perfect. One suggestion to the manufacturer, offset the holes on the opposing flanges so the head nest it will allow for a tighter fit between the fixed and rotating hinge side.
