These these light bulbs are about half the size of a regular light bulb, but they do have the advertised base. It works well enough for my needs though I can't really tell that it's any deeper than other red bulbs that I've used in terms of its wavelength. It really doesn't feel like it meets the advertised brightness, but again, works well enough. I haven't used it long enough to comment on durability.

I swapped out my soft white light bulb for these 670nm red light bulbs in my Tiffany-style lamp on my nightstand, and all I can say is WOW. I feel like the red light has made a noticeable difference in the quality of my sleep. I read every night before bed, and this light is still bright enough to read by, and also soft and calming. When I’m ready to go to sleep, I’m now realizing I felt restless with the white light. I’ve been falling asleep easily, my sleep feels deeper, and I’m dreaming a lot (or at least remembering my dreams) more than I used to. I keep the lamp on a timer and fall asleep with it on. My husband is happier too—when I read, the white light used to keep him awake, but he also enjoys the warm glow of the red light and says he sleeps deeper. The globe of the bulg is a bit smaller than a typical light bulb, but it fits a standard socket with no issues. I’ve been so happy with these that I even put one in a living room fixture. The color is so pleasing, and I like having it on while watching TV—it helps cut the harsh brightness of the screen. The price is right in line with typical bulbs, which makes this feel like an easy upgrade for something that has had such a positive impact on my nightly routine. I’ve definitely become a fan of red light, and these bulbs have been a great addition to my home.

Got these for nighttime lighting and ended up liking them more than I thought I would. The brightness is balanced really well because it's soft enough for winding down but not so dim that you can't see anything. This was the first time I actually received bulbs that arrived with a protective casing around the screw base, but it was easy to remove. I like that the bulb is white when it's off but glows red when turned on. If you're looking into red light bulbs, you probably already know what you're here for, it's not a color you just stumble across like a regular light bulb, and you're here with a purpose, but if you haven't looked into 670nm red light before, it's kind of an interesting ride going down the rabbit hole about the therapeutic red light wavelengths and why you can't just buy any red light bulb. There's a reason the tanning salons around me offer red light sessions as add-ons, because it works. Anyway, these are great little bulbs and hopefully Amazon leaves my review alone this time, lol!

I have a few of the Par38/Spotlight style red light bulbs and a couple of the USB beside lamps (sealed closed) but had never seen a bulb like this that was an actual red light. When off, they look like a slightly smaller white household bulb, so until I plugged it in, I was thinking they may have sent me the wrong one. Once, plugged in though, I was very surprised at how bright (and red) these little bulbs are. While alone they're super bright, with a light shade it's a much softer glow. These are smaller bulbs but fit an E26 socket. There are removable clear caps on each socket base. I mention this because you don't want to sit turning both ways for way too long trying to figure out why the threads don't catch, only to have someone casually come up and pull off the cap like you've never seen a light bulb before. Not, that I would know anything about that. These seem look good bulbs but time is going to be the real test on the life of one of these. Something to keep in mind is that these are red light only. Many bulbs used for red light therapy are both red and infrared light which this does not have. Red alone has it's own benefits but if you're going for the same effect as a specific type you know of, I'd verify what exactly that is first. It's surprising and impressive how bright these little guys are. As of now, I have no complaints. At the time of my order, the regular price of $9.99 is a fair value.

Look, my neighbors probably think I'm running a secret uranium enrichment facility or a high-stakes poker game in my bedroom. But while they're staring at the 450 nm blue-light "sleep disruptors" (or tablets),, I've officially rigged my sleep submarine for silent running. At 670 nm the light is so deep red. It feels like I'm sleeping inside a giant, cozy raspberry. My brain used to think 11 PM was high noon; now, as soon as I click this on, my pineal gland starts pumping out melatonin like a factory on overdrive! Here's a big bonus: I can now navigate to the bathroom at 3 AM with the tactical precision of a navy seal without ruining my night vision!!! 10 out of 10 stars and I would recommend or anyone that needs a good night sleep.

As many have stated, the bulbs themselves are quite small but that doesn't really matter. They are a nice vibrant red, and it does take a bit of getting used to trying to sleep with a red light on, but does make my nighttime restroom visits a lot easier to navigate. That said, at this point I'd rather have just a regular RGB smartbulb whose color and brightness I can choose; but for being "just" a red bulb, they do their job well.
