For the price, these are good binoculars, particularly when you factor in the phone-camera accessories. But we had to work a bit to get our pair fully operational. First the binoculars: They're stamped 12x42 (12-times magnification and the objective lens is 42 mm in diameter -- generally, the bigger the diameter the brighter the imaging). I assume the "Magnification: 10×" entry in the Product Description is a typo, since it's listed correctly several other places. The product description also says waterproof but then proceeds to redefine waterproof as light rain/water spray; frankly, I think they might qualify as water-resistant for 5-10 minutes maximum (which for their price is pretty decent). The lens caps are adequate but feel a bit flimsy. The neck strap is poorly made: fresh from the box with frayed edges on the strapping and with two light-weight plastic tensioner/lock clips that don't instill confidence at carrying one pound bouncing load. The focus wheel on our pair was very tight and not particularly smooth, requiring a finger on each hand to adjust. But those issues aside, out of the box, the optics of the binoculars are very good, rivaling another pair of binoculars we own that cost 4 times as much. The rotatable eyecups also work well -- lower them if you wear glasses, raise them is you don't. The instructions do a good job of telling you how to adjust the diopter control to match your eyesight. I initially was not impressed with the camera and tripod fittings. They are not covered in the instructions. I found a video on the Amazon product page that I strongly recommend you view; it describes the general assembly of components for taking photos/video. Upon watching, the first thing I discovered was that my eyepiece arm assembly arrived with the eyepiece on the wrong side of the arm. Things were straight-forward after fixing that, but you definitely need a tripod to hold everything securely, and the tripod mount to the binocular is devilishly difficult to tighten adequately. I also think I'll quickly lose the cover that protects the tripod mount socket. Depending on the location of the camera lens on your phone, you may find the left or right binocular lens gives better results. I have an Android phone with the lens in the top left of the back and using the binocular's right eyepiece works best for portrait or landscape shots. All in all, these are nice binoculars, and a lot of value for the money, but you need to be aware of their limitations. They'll likely give great service if you're watching wildlife out your kitchen window and want to take photos too, but they may not fare as well traipsing through marshland looking for snowy egrets.

This is a reasonable binocular, which I was planning to use this binocular for future trips. This binocular is a lightweight product that you can easily hold and adjust. I really like the feature of the phone adapter so that the phone can also catch far but attractive scenes. The result photos are not bad.

My husband bought these binoculars to take on our cruise. He was pleasantly surprised by the high quality for the price. They are also a great size to pack in a suitcase or carryon. Highly recommended!

I did not buy for the phone adapter and so am satisfied with the purchase. The binoculars are as described in terms of zoom ability. The carrying case and lens protecting caps all work well and are compact. The instruction book is extremely simple and of no use for the phone adapter. The video on amazon does give instructions on how to use it which basically involves tightening a screw so that the hole for the camera phone aligns with the hole on the cap that goes onto the binoculars.

You aren’t able to view it with your phone it very blurry. The neck band snapped off, looks like it was cheaply made. The binoculars broke when it hit the floor from the neck band breaking. You’re better off buy binoculars somewhere else.
