The color is a deep gray, and I love it. I purchased the 22" size. There was no shedding after the first wash. They were easy to slip over the existing pillows, and they have a little stretch to them. They could be used for decoration only, but they're so soft that you could easily use them to sleep on, too. I ordered the 20 x 20 inch white pillow covers and they are definitely white. I laid them on top of some “sand” colored sheets to give you an idea of how white they are, however, my lighting in that room isn’t the greatest. Despite the photo making it seem a bit ivory, they’re actually pure white with no yellow or cream undertones to them. If you’re looking for a true pure white, these are it. As far as softness…they’re SOFT. Trust me. Or don’t. But you’ll see how soft they are if you order them. Durability: They seem super strong and durable. The zipper is hidden and looks sewn on really well so I’m not worried about the zipper breaking off or anything like that. The fabric itself is super thick and feels high quality. Overall I’d highly recommend these. I could see these being in a high end store costing four times as much. Great value! I’m super picky when it comes to anything decor wise. I prefer only the best but being that I’m a single mom, I have to do a bit of homework to find the best deal’s possible. Oh, and if you’re looking for inserts, I bought the Oubonun 22 x 22 inch inserts (they say size up on insert for your cover) and they are so freaking awesome and cozy and fluffy!!! They’re also here on Amazon. Happy shopping! 😊

Pleasantly surprised! I bought the red and gray to bring me out of the holidays and into Valentines season. I paired the 18 X 18 with the 12 x 20 lumbar pillow covers for a diversity in shapes. They look really nice. The red is not a brassy, bright red, more of a cranberry(looks a little brighter in the pics) which will be a nice compliment for both occasions. I don't like a bright, cherry red. The material is a soft, stretchy, thick, T shirt material.I was not expecting knit, but looks and fits nicely. It has a nice, smooth stretch over the inserts that I already had. The cable design looks really nice and adds texture to my leather couch. Can't testify as to the durability as I have not washed them yet. They have been on my couch for about two weeks with daily use and I have seen no pilling. Was able to get the red 18 X 18 on Amazon used. Was a little skeptical about buying used, but they were clean and in as good a shape as the new ones. Highly recommend!
