I had the original haakaa passive pump/collector but it’s such an awkward shape and impossible to conceal. Plus my baby easily kicks it off my non-nursing side, spilling lots of milk and ruining lots of outfits. I was looking for a more discrete option that would collect the same amount passively and settled on these Boon Trove collectors. I LOVE THEM!!! They’re super comfortable and fit nicely in my bra (I’m a 34B but probably closer to 34C now that I’m breastfeeding) I wear one whenever I nurse and easily catch a few ounces. Bonus: my baby hasn’t been able to kick it off my non nursing side! I’ve packed them in my bag when going out to catch ounces on the go - can confirm the plugs are sturdy plus the travel bag they come with is waterproof! I haven’t touched my haakaa since buying these. I’m recommending them to all my breastfeeding mom friends!

My cousin recommended this product to me and I think I owe her my life now? These are so amazing. As an over-producer, these save me prom having to hold an actual pump on my boob when I’m nursing on the opposite side. They sit in your bra and can do passive or active milk collection depending on how you want to use them! For relief, I squeeze it when I apply it to my nipple so it actively sucks out milk while it’s on. It has label lines for the ounces it collects which is super convenient. As someone who hates pumping because I don’t want to have to hold my pump on my body the whole time (or spend a small fortune on a pump that is hands-free), I’m obsessed with this. I’ve also heard it can increase your milk supply if you are trying to do that since it actively collects through suction. I’ve also heard people compare it to the haaka ladybug, which I’ve never tried personally but based on what I’ve heard from others, this is the preferred product. I seriously will be recommending these to every breastfeeding/pumping mother I know.

I am convinced that these are a must-have for any breastfeeding moms. I only wish I had found them sooner! Being a FTM, I didn't know what to get as I built my baby registry. I kept seeing the Haaka manual pump being recommended so I included that on my registry. I like the Haaka, but the suction is so strong sometimes that it puts me off wanting to use it. I next saw the Haaka ladybug cups being recommended by other moms to catch the milk that leaks in between feeds. I started to desperately need something to catch the milk because our whole house is covered in milk drops/stains from all the leaking. The Haaka wasn't cutting it, plus I only had one, and both breasts leak. I researched for a while and found the Troves as an option. I couldn't decide between Trove and Haaka Ladybug until I saw someone else's review that said the Trove is better because it provides mild suction whereas the Ladybug just catches the letdown. I wanted some suction but not over the top; decided to try the Troves. I love them! Overnight they became a must-have essential! I take them with me every time I get up from not having fed for about an hour. You would be so surprised how much milk you get just from using these- like one Lansinoh bag full a day (technically over-filled because it's beyond the maximum limit line on the bag). The only thing I need to work on is not spilling them sometimes. They do stand up I their own but I've found that laying them flat on their stomach on the table minimizes the risk of spillage! I also love that they're easy to clean and they dry very fast on their own after being washed. Great value for the money and such a helpful product. Think of all the wasted milk before I found these! Love these; will recommend to every breastfeeding mom I know.

AMAZING ITEM!! I'm so glad I ordered this early in my postpartum journey. Definitely recommend getting the two pack - I was originally going to just get 1, but the 2 has been a game changer as I can continue using one while I'm washing the other one. I have a strong let down so this item is amazing for catching that passive milk. You have to wear a nursing bra or cami if you don't want to use the suction. I mostly use the suction without any bra on so I can let my nipples breathe/air out, and the suction is pretty good and strong overall! Sometimes it will need a bit of adjusting or resuctioning. Basically this can help me empty the one side while the little one nurses on the other side; then you can switch for the next round. I don't really use the plug, I've tried a few times so far and it's always come popping off so I don't recommend it. PRO-TIP: If you have a clogged duct, you can put 2 tsp epsom salt and 1 cup warm water in this, turn it upside down and suction it on. It basically immediately relieved my clogged duct!

I have had several kinda of pumps throughout my kids. I love these kind with adjustable suction that can collect the let down from the other side. This one works great and is almost my favorite. The Boon is more comfortably shaped around the nipple and is a slightly softer silicone that feels a tiny bit nicer than the haakaa, that can sometimes suck a bit too hard with the stiffer silicone and the ridges around the nipple are not helpful when you have a full large boob pushing into it. They make the top ridge a little too stiff and unforgiving. But while the Boon is more comfortable, the Haakaa stands up and doesn't spill my precious milk with the smallest bump, so the Haakaa wins. Boon people! Please make the base a little wider like the Haakaa. Otherwise don't change a thing.

Update: these worked amazingly for me for the first couple months, but I stopped using them around 8 weeks and now that my milk supply has regulated, they hardly catch any milk, no matter how engorged I am or how much suction I use. It’s a great way to build up a freezer stash and prevent a ton of milk from getting wasted in those early weeks, but they’re not a substitute for a pump if you need long term milk collection. At least not for my body. Original review: I have a couple Haakaas that I tried using my first few weeks breastfeeding, but my baby sometimes kicked them off and it was stressful worrying about spilling milk everywhere. I also had a hard time getting them to suction on securely without the suction becoming painful. I stopped using them, but then I was soaking through a breast pad with every feeding and wasting a ton of milk. I read reviews for a lot of products similar to this one, but the Boom seemed to have the best design and the best reviews so I decided to give them a shot. Funny enough, my lactation consultant recommended them to me out of the blue the day after I ordered them. These have completely changed my breastfeeding experience! I haven’t needed to use my electric pump a single time since I started using the Boons. If I use them every time I nurse on the opposite breast, I collect about two whole bottles of extra milk in 24 hours. This is more than enough to let my husband take a couple feedings with the bottle and to create a freezer stash. Now my biggest problem is figuring out what to do with all the extra milk! Another great use is preventing engorgement. If my baby isn’t hungry and my breasts are full, I can put these on and get a couple ounces on each side, just enough to relieve the pressure without draining my breasts completely. That way I still have plenty of milk whenever baby is ready to nurse. They stay on in my nursing bras really well. I need to increase the suction periodically as they fill with milk, but it's so easy to do just by pushing on the front through my bra. They are comfortable and convenient enough that I forget I'm wearing them. Just be careful not to spill then if you sit them down.

I did covered these when I was having trouble feeding my 1st born. I would get let downs and lose all the milk because I didn't have anything to catch it in. Boon has saved me ounces of milk. Whether I'm nursing in one side, pumping one side, or out and about, even after a warm shower. Some people say the suction is t greet, but you have to push it and adjust it based on your nipple placement. It works very well. I didn't mind the price esp since it saved my sanity with being a first time parent and now again with our second born. Great product, easy to use and clean. Value for money... Invaluable to be honest

I really, really wanted to love these. The concept of no breastmilk going to waste? Genius. But there are too many design flaws getting in the way of what could be a great product. 1 - The suction can HURT if you don’t position it juuust right (and sometimes hurts even if you do.) More than the electric pump, more than a breastfeeding baby. 2 - These easily pop off the breast, spilling and wasting precious breastmilk. If you’re breastfeeding on the other side, baby WILL kick these off, guaranteed! 3 - Sometimes the plugs don’t work. And in the process of trying to get them to work, they pop out and again, spill and waste precious breastmilk. Given the lowish price, I am rating 3 stars because having these is still better than nothing. But the Boon Trove is NOT the perfect, mess-free solution like some reviews are making it out to be.
