  • Best Budget Mic Arm
I saw reviews complaining about the arm releasing back to it's old position due to the springs, so I just didn't add them when assembling it and it works 10x better as there is nothing pulling it back to the springs resting position. For around 25 dollars I think this might be the best budget mic arm you can find. I was searching for a few hours looking for a reasonable price yet still decent looking mic arm and this was definitely the one. It feels very high quality, I've had other mic arms for upwards of 80 dollars and for this to be better than one 3x the price is astounding. The padded clamp base is something I wouldn't pay much attention to if it weren't for other mic arms damaging my desk after long use. As for this arm, it doesn't appear to have done any damage at all thanks to the padded clamp. The knobs are very easy to turn and do work a lot better than others that have used different knobs (so definitely an under-appreciated feature) It can certainly hold the weight of what it claims, lots of other mic arms I've looked at have claimed to hold half of the weight of this and cannot actually hold that much, as for this, 4.4 pounds seems to be a decent and truthful amount. The mic arm itself feels to be of high quality and is definitely something I will be keeping around for a while. ... show more

  • EDIT - Hard to adjust but good customer service
Size: Headset Hook Color: Mic Boom Arm
EDIT: After I posted my review the company reached out to me and offered me a replacement, which I accepted but still had the same issue, after which they gave me a full refund without having to return the product. So, I will say even though I still don't think the mic holder is easy to use, I am updating the review to 5 stars because of the good customer service. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I wanted a sturdy mic arm that I could keep on my desk and move away when I'm not using it. This is sturdy, but it will not easily move away. It is so hard to adjust the arm angles because of the constant tension - you have to really force it to bend, and then it just wants to snap back in place. There are knobs you turn to lock the angle in place but you have to tighten them so hard to keep it locked in place again because of the constant tension in the arm. I do like that it has the recessed cord holder, and it looks nice. It would work better for someone that won't need to ever adjust the arm or move it out of your face while you're at your desk. ... show more

  • Great, but one thing is a MAJOR setback
Size: Headset Hook Color: Mic Boom Arm
I bought this October 1, 2022. So a year and a half now. This has been a great boom arm for my mic, but there is only one major setback of this boom arm. The spring inside the arms are too strong and overcome the hand screws that attempt to hold it in place. When I'm not really paying attention it is fine, but when I need it right by my mouth and not moving, that won't happen. It slowly moves up and this boom arm will never hold a 90 degree angle. Other than that, everything is made with strong, sturdy material. I have no complaints other than the boom arm will never hold a 90 degree angle for me. For a group setting like around a table or desk, podcasting with multiples on one mic, this would be a great investment. For personal us and range of motion will be slightly compromised from the issue stated above. ... show more

  • Good Range and Sturdy
Size: Extension Tube Color: Silver
The swivel has good reach and the flexibility meets my needs. I have a large desk and it reaches from one end to the other when needed. The weight of the mic does pull it down a little, even when it's maxed on how tight it can be, but it's not too bad. If you set the height up a bit, the pull down ends up just being right. ... show more

  • Does what it’s supposed to
Size: Headset Hook Color: Mic Boom Arm
I wanted this product for so long. It works well, it’s just that the tension on it is a little weird and my mic keeps moving back. No matter how I tightened it, the tension spring would just undo itself and I have a rogue boom arm lol. I have to adjust it multiple times a day because it shifts from the position i leave it it. If that doesn’t bother you then this is the right product for you. ETA: Seller sent a message and offered me a full refund. Amazing customer service! ... show more

  • Not sturdy - will not stay in place despite being fully tightened.
Size: Headset Hook Color: Mic Boom Arm
If you hate adjusting your mic position every 1 - 3 minutes, skip this. When unpacking this arm mount, I was surprised with how sturdy it felt. I thought this would be a good fit, but just after setting up the mount to my desk and adding my mic (Shure SM7B), the mount position did not hold. Well, I tried to tighten the arm as the instructions state and though it's fully tightened, the arm will not stay in place. It swings away from me at the base and the secondary part that bends will not hold it's height. This is super disappointing as I am using a microphone that's advertised to be used with this mount. It's been disruptive to my work as I am forced to move my sitting/standing position just to be in the proper place where the mount has decided to stop moving to. I regret this purchase and wish I had returned it soon instead of just trying to 'deal with it.' ... show more

  • The Included Cable-Management Velcro saved my Mic!
Size: Headset Hook Color: Mic Boom Arm
First off, this is a great arm. All 3 sections give a range of motion, and the resistance can be modified by using the tension knobs at all three joints. This was something that was important to me, as I have my microphone hanging above my monitors and want to be able to pull it down and push it up at will. The arm is solid metal, and it seems extremely sturdy. Be careful when clipping the zip-tie holding it together when it arrives. The arm will spring straight up. It knocked a cup off my desk! The base of the metal stand it is mounted on has a high-quality rubber grip, so it shouldn't move from where you place it or damage whatever you mount it on. It also came in handy for me that they include 4 pieces of Velcro to hold your microphone cable in the cable tray build throughout the arm. I had mounted my mic improperly on a railing overlooking a staircase, and I knocked it off. As it turns out, the cable of my microphone stayed plugged in and held the entire stand and microphone and saved it. The cable and possibly the port on my microphone would have been damaged if the cable had not been tied down with the Velcro. Thanks for that Bietrun! Based on the quality, I think this arm will last for years to come, and I think it was a great deal. In my impatience for it to arrive, I went out and bought a rather nice Samson arm from Best Buy for the same price, and I am a bigger fan of this one. ... show more
