    • Perfect solution if you have no space for either a desk mount or a floor mount with a large base
I had a difficult situation where I needed a mic arm, but my desk was too thick for the traditional clamp. I considered mounting the arm into the desk or wall, but I was afraid of messing it up and I have no drill. I had also found a different floor stand, but the base was too wide and would've gotten in the way of my door. This however, solved all of those issues by having the base hide mostly under my desk. It's still sturdy enough to hold my Blue Yeti X off to the side without falling. The only issue I had was while moving the arm, the stand teeter-tottered a bit. I put some extra weight onto the base, and now I can move the arm without any issues at all. Definitely recommend to anyone having similar issues as me, surprised that this only seems to have Vine reviews. ... show more

    • A different design that works!
I like this because of the solid base. I don't like this because of the solid base. If you've got a vocalist tapping their foot on a resonant floor, it's not a good thing when recording, etc.. But on a carpeted floor, this is nice. Unobtrusive, adjustable. The included attachments are nice, too. The mic holder can clamp on a myriad of mics, and if that doesn't work, there are adaptors included to accept other options. Pop screen is a little unusual to mount, adjust, but once it's on, it'll work nicely. For studio or podcasts, this isn't bad at all! ... show more

This mic stand works well and comes with all the accessories needed to fit a variety of microphones. The base is heavy enough to provide good stability and there are 3 sections that can be assembled as needed to make the stand as tall or as short as needed. This allows me to use this as a stand to mic my guitar and later for other instruments. I have limited space in my studio so I opted for this style rather than the traditional boom mic arms and it is worked well. This boom arm floor mic stand is just what I needed! Because it's a floor stand, the base can slide under my table and be out of the way - no tripping! The stand is tall enough to adjust the arm to many different heights and positions. And it can reach out over my table for a good distance. Right now the springs are tight. As advertised, it holds my Blue Yeti well and I have no fear of it falling. It came with a screen, some velcro ties, and adapters - all very helpful!
