- TROUBLESHOOTING: What to do if the doors stay locked? If the doors stay locked, the switch on the back of the magnetic lock needs to be flicked upwards to then allow the door to be open. A diagram is available on page 4 of the instruction manual. Repeat step 7: On the magnetic lock, push the catch upwards to activate it. It will click into place and become loose once properly pushed, enabling the door to open.

These work well until they dont. My 9 mo was pretty easily able to out-muscle the lock and just yank the cabinet open. My contrast, we also have the more name-brand version of this magnetic lock which is much more sturdy.

Installation was very easy and the guide helped. However, the magnet to unlock was not strong enough and wouldn’t go through out cabinet to engage the lock. Design wise the locks work but only if you have thinner cabinet.
