I bought this as my first pump and as a first time mom. I did not really know what to expect and what counts as a good or bad pump. I ended up trying it out within the first week of giving birth and I was so excited to see it worked. I had some motor issues and reached out to the company to understand what’s going on and they were beyond helpful with explaining how things worked and what I was missing. I wanted to try more pumps so I bought some highly rated ones but they were awful and I returned them instantly. I always come back to this one. The flange sizing is really good too and compared to other portable pumps, it doesn’t even hurt. Flange sizing is so important. Keep in mind the motor is loud and it is bulky just like any pumps this size.. everything else is amazing. I would highly recommend this.

I have tried many hands free pumps over the last several months and this is one of my favorites. Lately it’s been my primary hands free and I use it almost every morning while getting ready for the day. Pros: ° Good suction and a variety of settings. ° This pump has a unique one piece flange and duckbill connection setup that makes it really easy to clean and assemble correctly. There’s one part of the collection cup that tends to get a little skuzzy from milk residue. Usually it’s the connector section that gets gross, but not with this pump. ° Excellent battery life. ° Large collection cup capacity. I typically pump 4 ounces per side and this pump easily handles 4.5-5 ounces. ° Lots of accessories. There are flange inserts provided that are far and away the best I’ve used in a hands free pump. The duckbills are unique so it’s great to receive the extras as well. Cons: ° It’s not very quiet. It’s definitely not the loudest I’ve used, but you wouldn’t be able to pump very discreetly with it. ° Bulky collection cups. The large capacity of the cups is great of you produce a higher volume of milk, but the cups themselves are really large. ° Somewhat unwieldy connection with the motors. At times I have issues with the motors not connecting correctly and the pump not doing its job. Not a huge deal, but it can be annoying to have to take it apart and put it back together. ° The plug. A lot of reviewers mention this, and yes it’s inconvenient, however you can also just leave the bowl shaped diaphragm on the collection cup and hold it when you pour the milk out. This is what I usually do. The cups themselves are really easy to pour out, so the plug isn’t a deal breaker for me.

I had a good first impression of these breast pumps. At first they seemed to work well and had no issues. After about 2 months they seem to be a bit more temperamental and finicky, I don’t they are being used improperly but have started to not work very well. Your mileage may vary just sharing my experience.

I've tried a few wearable pumps and can't seem to figure out how to use them. The most difficult part for me is not really being able to tell if the nipple is centered. I use my plug in pump most of the time and it's so easy and straightforward that it's hard for me to like using anything else but I really wanted the portability and ease of a wearable pump. I wore it and was able to get a few ounces out. It was fairly comfortable - although the flange inserts weren't small enough for me personally. I didn't get as many ounces as I get with my other pump but it was nice to still be able to get things done around the house while pumping. Although I was still fairly limited as I didn't feel like I had a ton of mobility because if I moved too much it would pop off and milk would spill out which was also frustrating. I think as far as wearable pumps go, this one seems really good because the suction is good and it's not too big. I personally still prefer my motif luna.
