    • Great mini-split. Relatively DIY friendly if you are comfortable with electrical.
Size: 12,000 BTU - 115V / 21 SEER - WIFI
Cheaper to get this mini-split along with a gauge and vacuum pump to prep the lines than to purchase the "DIY" version with the pre-vacuumed lines. Two of these are able to keep a 1500 sq ft house well cooled even in upper 90F outdoor temperatures. Obviously, if you aren't comfortable doing minor electrical work and/or doing some research to hook up the gauges and vacuuming the hoses, hire an HVAC tech. If you are comfortable running electrical lines, hooking up a disconnect (code requirement), and connecting a few hoses, you can likely handle the install of this device. YouTube videos are your friends for this install and learning how to install them without buying the much more expensive "DIY" version. I would encourage anyone to also purchase a set of covers to make the hoses / electrical lines / drain pipe more aesthetically pleasing. If you want to connect / control this unit via phone or home automation, it is compatible and works well with the Ceilo Breeze Eco Smart AC Controller. ... show more

Super easy install, I've been retired from the hvac business for over 10 years and my son and I had it installed in less than a couple hours, had to run to the hvac supply house and pick up a mini split adapter for my gauges to connect to the port and 7 bucks later had it vacumed and charge released and fired right up cooling great, I was a major a\c company dealer for over 30 years and this system cost a fraction of what my dealership system would have cost, if your needing one I do recomend this brand (if anything changes I'll update my review) but so far great little system, bought for my hunting\fishing cabin ... show more

    • Unit is unusable - Overheats then stops working

We installed this unit per instruction and it is constantly throwing an E9 error. Upon researching, we found that this is caused by lack of refrigerant in the unit which can no longer be purchased. Now we have no choice but to buy another unit and pay extra costs for reinstallation. Buyers beware!
