As a guy with pale skin, I never tanned very easily, I got a little bit darker in the summers than in the winters but it was nothing too noticeable. I always felt my skin tone was holding me back from looking my best and impressing the girls. Then I discovered Bondi Sands and couldn't be happier with the way it makes my skin look! I finally have a true tan for the first time in my life. At first I bought the Dark tanning foam and was satisfied with the look, it certainly made me a shade or two darker and gave my skin some much needed color. Then I tried the Ultra Dark and WOW it looked so much better. No orange spary tan look and it looks and feels great. It made my fair skin look tan, at least 3 or 4 shades darker but it still looked natural and had a nice golden hue. If you're reading this and trying to decide between Dark and Ultra Dark get the Ultra Dark, it's worth it. The best part about it is as your skin gets paler like during the cold winter months the tan will change with it and seem lighter so you can use the same kind all year round. And you can still tan through the foam as well if you like to be outside. Guide: About the product: The tan does NOT last 5-7 days like advertised, it lasts a true 4 days (given you shower every day) and starts to fade on the 4th day. So for a consistent tan you'll want to apply every 4-5 days so if you're first application is on Sunday night you'll want to reapply Thursday or Friday night. Every 4-5 days is probably the best so the tan can fade a little and that way when you reapply it it’ll be darker. The bottle itself will last about 10 applications, so around 1.5-2 months which is a pretty good deal. Application tips: -Get the tanning mitt -Put a couple pumps on the mitt and use long strokes (like the whole arm or leg not just one half of it). And rub it in for a deeper longer lasting tan. Try to get ALL of it off the mitt before you do more pumps. -Do it in a mirror so you can see what areas you have covered -For your back, you can put the product on the back of the mitt and use the back of your hand to rub it in. Personally I only do my scapula/neck area and sides, the only other place I can reach with my hand is my lower back but that gets SUPER splotchy so honestly don’t worry about it. No one looks at your back anyways, and you can always say it’s a riding lawn mowing tan line if you want. But don’t forget it’s totally okay for you to admit you self tan, like seriously no one cares. None of my guy friends or girls have judged me about it, and in fact they have asked me what I use because it looks good! But you can have a partner help you with your back if you're self conscious. -Put the remaining residue on your face and DONT FORGET to close your eyes and apply some around your eyes/nose otherwise you'll have a huge tan line. You can put it on your hands and feet too but honestly I don't just because it fades weird on the feet and looks really streaky. -Personally I wear underwear and hike it up a bit when doing it and just apply the product up to that line (so yes I have a huge tan line on my waist and upper thighs) but it's your call if you want to get every part of your body or not. -You will look super green after you apply it but dont worry once it dries after 6 hours you'll look much better and after you shower in the morning it'll look great once it dries fully. When you first get out of the shower it'll look lighter but it darkens once you dry off. -DONT use soap when rinsing off the product after the 6 hours otherwise you might take too much off and you wont look as tan. Take a soapy shower beforehand and wait 30min-1hr and then apply the tan at night before you go to bed. -It WILL STAIN WHITE sheets and clothing when you first apply it that first night so be warned. Will show up a little on grey too. But after you rinse the top layer off in the morning it won't stain anything so you can wear white after the first night, just not when you apply it initally.

No smell. Lasts a long time before wearing off. Great color. Easy to use. Natural looking. Doesn't show wrinkles when it fades. Best self tanner I've ever used. Worth the price. Highly recommend

I'm gonna give this 5 stars because there isn't a 4.5 option...I bought this bc Whitney Carson from dancing with the stars told me to... well she suggested it on her Facebook... smell gets a 5, ease of applying gets a 5... it doesn't dry fast at all though id say i walked around in my bikini for atleast an hour before most (not all) the stickiness went away.... I have yellow undertones and tan very easy but it's not hot enough here yet and I'm not doing the tanning bed anymore, so for me i would've liked the ultra dark to be Super dark but even after 2 applications 30 min apart its just a nice glow for me... and i didn't shower for 14 hours. I should've put lotion on my elbows and knees But my hands looked natural and so did everything else... I freaked out bc I looked green for a little bit but after my shower it was a nice little tan but nothing crazy, zero streaking and no orange.... I think id buy it again but like I said wish it was a little darker and dried faster

Okay so to start I ordered this product after watching video reviews on YouTube and reading reviews on here and they all seemed very positive. Before using this product I had only used the Jergen’s gradual tan lotion in dark and received actual spray tans from machines or had someone tan me with a spray machine. But if y’all know getting spray tans is pricey and that is why I decided to buy this product. When I received the item it was wrapped in plastic and I’m assuming they do that because of the leaking problem other buyers seem to have had. Mine was also leaking a little which was a little messy to open and it stained the lettering on the bottle pink. I also purchased the Bondi Sands mitt which I loved. Before applying the product I showered, exfoliated, and had shaved. Once my body was dry I followed the instructions on the bottle which say to use long strokes with the mitt and then to wait 30 mins before applying a second coat for a darker longer lasting tan. I used two pumps on the mitt and began applying to my legs first. **the foam is green looking** I believe this is the guide color so you can see where you have applied the product. I do not believe this means the product is defected. The reason I say this is because when you shower after applying it the water has a greenish tint to it. I also posted a picture and this shows one leg after about 10 minutes of application and one leg with no application. You can see the leg I applied product to looks an olive tone. So after I applied one layer to my body I waited the 30 minutes and then did the next layer. This foam does leave your skin feeling pretty sticky so I was pretty much naked for an hour total to allow this product to dry before getting dressed. (I had tried to put clothes on about 10 minutes after applying the second coat and it stained the inside of my jean shorts). Alright so after I completed the application which was around 5 pm I went on with my day and initially I was really pleased with the color I had. Here is where I messed up. I didn’t shower at the 6 hour mark which would have been at around 11 pm. I had a long day and when I went to put my daughter to bed I accidentally fell asleep with her. So I didn’t end up waking up until 9 am the next morning, meaning I had sat in this for about 17 hours. I think this is why I wasn’t satisfied with the end result, which was a very dark orange looking color. Now the positive is that the color did not look streaky at all! The mitt and the foam product worked really well together. The only other thing I would suggest for application is to maybe apply a regular lotion to knees, elbows, tops of feet, and hands before applying the foam as well as applying the foam VERY sparingly to these areas. I think that if I would have showered at the 6 hour mark I would be more satisfied with the final color. You can see the extreme color difference in my photo of my legs before and after the completed application. So I hope this was helpful and I will be posting an updated photo once I have the chance to reapply knowing what I know now! Also the scent is nice and it does fade but if it never gets to strong or gross smelling. If you have used the jergens that one has a pretty strong smell that lingers and this doesn’t do that.

This is by far one of the best self-tanners I've used (and I've used a LOT of them). It has a nice color guide that isn't too extreme, the product blends in nicely leaving a streak-free finish, it has ZERO smell, and dries down very nicely with minimal stickiness (virtually none). Despite what others have stated, there is transfer - especially with the darkest color. That's not an issue for me as I have "tanning clothes" that are black and stained for the purposes of self-tanning. The color lasts 5-7 days for me (I'm very active and in the gym 5 days per week). I apply twice per week for best results. I will be repurchasing again!

I had been wanting to get an at home self tanner for quite some time. But I was very nervous and hesitant to do so. I did not want to be orange or overly fake tan looking. I thought it would be impossible to achieve an even tan by doing it myself. After spending hundreds on spray tanning for it to not last very long I decided to give it a shot. I had used tanning beds for years and would bake in the sun all the time. After really seeing the dangers of that up close and personal, I knew this was not an option anymore. Besides, who has time to work on a natural tan- not me! I researched tons of self tan products and read a lot of reviews. I asked friends what their go to products were. Many recommend Biondi. In the past I had tried a few products. The lotions that tan you over a few applications (like Jergins) or some that would just last for a few hours. I knew I did not want to use these again. I bit the bullet and ordered Biondi. I purchased the foam and in ultra dark. My skin is pretty light but I do tan well. I have lighter complexion with blonde hair and blue eyes but the ultra dark is a good color tone. During the summer months I’ve done double application and it does not come out too dark. For application I use a medical grade glove (the kind at the drs office). This has worked out great for me. I have not tried a tanning mitt. I do apply the self tanner to my face. For this I apply a small amount onto a makeup brush and evenly apply to the face. I go into my hairline and also try to get my ears. I do the same for my feet and hands for an even look. I apply at night before bed. This will transfer onto sheets and pillow cases, but it washes out completely. Avoid washing your hands after touching water as you will get streaks. I usually put on loose fitting clothing after. I leave on overnight and rinse off with cool water in the morning! Tan always come out evenly and looks natural. The smell is great. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. The bottle has also lasted me quite some time. I’ve been saving a lot of money to get that tan look that I have been wanting!

Starting with the positive - this is the nicest, darkest color self-tanning result I've ever had. One application blows LovingTan out of the water. The guide coat looked quite green when I first put it on, which had me worried for a minute, but it transformed into a nice olive-based bronze after about an hour. So my Shrek experience was short lived, thank God. It didn't come out streaky or weird, even on my back. Definitely use a tanning mitt, I don't think surgical gloves would spread this correctly. It takes a while to dry enough to where it feels like you could get dressed. The worst part was the transfer to my sheets overnight! I think you should apply this in the morning and plan to wash it off BEFORE you go to bed. There was a me-sized pinkish brown stain on my side of the bed. If you're a fan of LovingTan trying to save some cash (Bondi Sands is almost half the cost), here's my comparison: Color - Bondi Sands wins hands down for both the tone and the darkness. I tried one single coat of each, and BS is easily 3 shades darker and much more olive based (hence the Shrek guide coat LOL). Scent - they are about the same. Dry Time - Loving Tan dries faster so you can dress faster Creases - Bondi Sands wins. If you self-tan, you've experienced white armpits, elbow creases etc where skin-on-skin can make your tan vanish, and you don't know until you rinse! Bondi Sands had ZERO spots on me that did this (and it was hotter and more humid when I tried BS compared to when I tried LT), and Loving Tan left me with a problem around my bikini line, the under-boob and one armpit was wonky. Knees, Elbows, Hairline - same. I put lotion on these areas first (even though the BS label says not to), and all was well. Time needed - same, both advise a 6 hour development time Transfer - sadly, Bondi Sands transferred to my sheets dramatically; Loving Tan did not transfer. It does look like the color is washing out (used Clorox2) Feel while on - LovingTan felt a bit tacky the whole time I had it on, while Bondi Sands did not at all (and I had Bondi Sands on during a rare humid day, and the LT was a dry cool day). TL;DR I would purchase this again over the LovingTan. I could buy Bondi Sands twice for the same money, get a better looking tan, feel more comfortable while wearing it... just have to invest in some brown sheets or else plan for this to be used during the day only.

I was not emotionally prepared for how good this would be. I picked up the Bondi Sands Self Tanning Foam hoping for a natural glow, and instead I unlocked my “just got back from vacation” personality overnight. First off, the lightweight formula is exactly as described, it goes on smoothly, absorbs fast, and doesn’t leave you feeling sticky like you’ve been dipped in syrup. The aloe vera and coconut scent is actually pleasant (not that classic self-tanner smell that makes you question your life choices), and it fades nicely after development. Application? Super easy. The foam spreads evenly, and I was genuinely shocked by the streak-free finish... even on my usually problematic elbows and knees. No patchiness, no weird orange tones, just a natural-looking tan that builds beautifully if you want to go darker. Bonus points: it dries quickly, doesn’t transfer onto my sheets (bless), and lasts several days without getting blotchy. I’ve tried a lot of self-tanners, and this one is easily salon-quality at home. Final verdict: If you want an even, long-lasting, sun-kissed glow without UV damage or smelling like burnt biscuits, this is your new best friend.
