  • These are amazing, yet the price used to be under $25 for the set.
Style: L-Wrench Double Pack
I think these are amazing, but the price has changed to make them no longer a value. Not sure what the company is thinking aside from to not allow others to afford nice tools. So I would like to see these go back to a price that makes sense to most people. $40-50 is far to much for something like this. Would you like to pay $40 for a hamburger.....? No. Point made case closed this used to be a great product, with a great price. Now Im not sure what these are. ... show more

  • Absolutely fantastic
Style: L-Wrench Double Pack
Pros: These allen wrenches are worth every dollar. I've used wrenches from various other manufacturers, and none of them worked as well as these. Unlike the other brands, these wrenches don't twist and bend, they haven't started to 'round out' or wear yet, and they fit screw heads well. The silver and gold finishes on these are great as well. I'm not a fan of gold, and if I had a choice I would have gone with silver for both, BUT, having two colors does help keep your English and metric sets separate. Cons: Your coworkers are going to want to steal these. =p Bottom line, spend the extra few dollars to buy these wrenches. I haven't owned them long, but I can already tell that they will last far longer than other wrenches I've owned. Cheap out, and you'll end up spending more money buying cheaper tools again and again. Update - 06 November, 2012: I just bought a second pair of these a year and a half after the first pair. I didn't need a new set, but constantly need them on two sides of my workplace (machine shop), and I immediately bought another set of these. Even with constant use, the first set has held up incredibly well. I've only had one wrench fail on me (either the 3/32" or 5/64", a tiny one), and that's only because I abused it with a torch and stubborn set screw. I've since ground the end down, and it's still a usable stubby! I still won't hesitate to recommend these wrenches! They are absolutely worth the money. ... show more

  • Color coding is key
Style: L-Wrench Double Pack
The silver and gold coating on ASE and metric wrenches are great for keeping the sets organized - and avoiding any confusion. The durability on these is insanely great.

  • Good wrenches...outlast others easily.
Style: L-Wrench Double Pack
At work, I've gone through multiple sets of "L-wrenches"...where I work they'll replace them for me, typically with what I would describe as premium import brands. After getting a Bondhus set for my home, I was impressed with the quality vs. price, especially as a USA made tool. When it was time to get a new work set, instead of taking another free replacement I decided to purchase the Bondhus ones on my own dime. I'm glad I did this, because after quite a few months of professional usage, none of the wrenches have worn or rounded. Haven't had to take them to the grinder and shorten the small end to get the grip back. Perhaps I'm being more careful and seating them correctly and making sure the screw's receiver is cleared out, but these were practices I already employed with wrenches I'd gotten for free. Seems like these are made with more accuracy as well, I find they fit tighter, which has the effect of engaging the screw facets better and lessening the rounding wear that typically occurs. I think the metal hardness also contributes, especially combined with the sizing accuracy. I've also noticed less, if any, ruining of screw receivers even when I'm applying more torque than needed (I can't help wanting my bearing set screws tight ;). Overall, I'd highly suggest these. For a little more than "import premium" price, you get a tool that'll outlast several sets. I've got work sets and home sets now, cost savings achieved! ... show more

  • Solid
Style: L-Wrench Double Pack
Allen head screws aren't terribly common, but when you encounter one it can be really frustrating. You could always get some allen wrench bits, but you'd have to be careful not to round the cheaper screws out. A true allen wrench is incredibly convenient. You can apply torque when necessary with granular precision, then use the long end to finish the task. Tactile feedback will allow you to sense when you're about to round out the bolt, as well as ensuring you can't snap the tool on a particularly rooted screw or bolt. This set contains all the sizes you could possibly need, with convenient color coding and very strong material. ... show more

  • Good product
Style: L-Wrench Double Pack
The one complaint I have is that bondhus add this coating but then the allen wrenches won't fit in the SHCS or other screws. The GoldGuard Finish is a little bigger that the BriteGuard finish. When you do get the allen wrenches to actually go into the screw it works well. Just plan on a little bit of frustration to get to that point. ... show more

  • Best way I can still this up
Style: L-Wrench Double Pack
I generally don't review products on here unless I feel as though the product truly warrants it. That being said the he wrenches absolutely do. I'm a millwright and fairly new to the trade. It didn't take long for me to realize that big box tools just will not cut it at a sawmill, after rounding off or losing atleast a couple hundred dollars worth of he's keys I finally stumbled on these. I'm a couple months in with no signs of them giving up. On top of that the finish makes them a lot easier to find if and when you drop them. The biggest plus I've found is the clearance, these are only a few thousands under the he screws and fit tight, so tight that you have to clean the screws to get them to seat properly, which has saved me from having to use my left handed bits more than a few times. Best way I can still this up, yeah they're expensive for a set of Allen wrenches, but when you rely on your tools to keep a roof over your families head it pays to invest wisely in quality brands. Bondhus has a customer for life with me if they manage to keep the quality where it needs to be. ... show more
