This scale replaces a different brand purchased 9 years ago that was running quickly through batteries. This scale can be recharged - or connected to power via a cable (USB-C), which is helpful when you are in the middle of a recipe. It also has a % option as well as Tare function. And you can recalibrate if ever necessary, and includes a weight for that purpose. Large screen that is not blocked by your bowl. Very pleased with this purchase.

Between cooking and baking I need a heavy duty scale for everyday use. Asking for a decent kitchen scale shouldn't seem like a big deal, but most aren't well thought out. This one....Where to begin how awesome it is. Battey or plug in, can take plenty of weight, auto on/off toggle, large surface so big plates and bowles dont block the lcd, easy to clean metal surface, lightweight, tares and turns on quickly (A huge deal), calibrated perfectly, plenty lf other weight options. No to see how well it holds up. So far amazing scale at a solid price as well.

Great product, ideal size and very readable display. But the best part is a feature that my wife had been looking and not common nowadays: A separate "TARE" push button. The scale we had and as most are, combines the "Tare" function with another function i.e. "Units" or other which can mess up when baking bread or working with sourdough. Highly recommended.

Wow, the description states large and I read the measurements, but it is BIG. No beeps, still deciding if I like that or not, pros both ways. It seems extremely accurate, it scaled the included weight perfectly happy. Overall very happy!

First of all, if your scale comes with a calibration weight and a calibration setting, you know you’ve got the real deal. The design looks fantastic—I love the hovering effect they went with. Functionally, this scale can handle any general-purpose weighing needs, making it a great all-around choice. If you want precision, this is the product to get. Recommendations: The latency is a bit slow. It’s nothing extreme, but if you’re measuring in small weight increments, it can get frustrating. The scale doesn’t register slight taps around the rim. I’m not sure if this is by design, but I sometimes tap lightly to reset the measurement and check for variations. Since it doesn’t register my taps, I have to apply more pressure than I’d like. Pro Tip: Turn off the auto power-off feature—it shuts off really quickly. Also, use a dish or bowl for measuring. You can lift and place the bowl back down to refresh the reading if needed.

First off, I would like to say I have received and tested another BOMATA Digital Scale (model BS2000), a smaller version of this scale with a higher accuracy, and I have been very impressed with its accuracy, repeatability and low latency (time to display a stable reading). But that scale was shipped in a separate box. This one came earlier in a Tyvek envelope. The instructions state that this is a precision instrument, and yet it's retail box has no cushioning whatsoever. The accuracy is off slighty even after calibration. If weight is added after it is calibrated, like the 100g calibration weight, it will usually read 100g until additional weight is added and then when that same weight is removed (see photo), it no longer reads 100g. It's stated accuracy is +/-0.2g up to 200g, but as you can see, the scale did not return to 100g. The latency of this scale is painfully slow. If you are reducing a quantity of something you're weighing to reach a desired value, it can take 3 or more seconds before you get a new stable reading after each reduction. Lastly, the instructions state: "This product is a non-waterproof product, so be careful not to let water get in through the gaps." The Amazon description states: "When cleaning, please wipe it with a wet rag. Do not rinse the scale under the water." Since this scale has units specifically for measuring liquids (ml, fl. oz), you may want to be extra careful not to spill or overfill any liquids when measuring. My personal opinion is that all kitchen scales should be waterproof against spillage on the weighing platform. The company does make a waterproof kitchen scale, so if this is also a concern for you, you may prefer their other scale, which is lower in price as well. I have not tried that scale.
