Wanted a pair of photochromic riding glasses. This is NOT photochromic. The description is misleading. I’d like to add though, if I had wanted a pair of riding sunnies, this would warrant a 5 star.

I usually use two sunglasses while riding - clear one for cloudly/rainy situation and polarized one for bright situation. In New England, weather is not so cooperative, throwing all weather events together in one day. Hence, I carry extra pair to anticipate any surprises. Since I am not so skilled rider, I need to full stop in order to switch my shade, or just keep wearing one till the end of ride regardless of poor visibility condition. Usually, photochromic sunglasses are expensive than regular shades. Then, I discovered this at competitive price. Lens: I don't know how lens are shifting from light to darker. It is sorcery!! Wicked!! Transition is gradual I think, or I could not tell changes immediately while riding. I started my ride in cloudy condition, and this provided almost clear view. Weather was shifted to bright sunny day, and I didn't feel much brightness. In the final lap, it was back to cloudy and snowy, but I was able to see the road clearly (transitioning from darker to light again). I don't need two shades any more!!! Fit: I don't have very tall nose bridge, but its rubber feet are well positioned and comfortably sitting. Its arms are stiff, but not too pushy. After long ride, it did not hurt my head nor nose. You can adjust the rubber nose bridge feet (it may require some break-in time). It covers my eyes and cheeks, offering very big coverage. Weight: no clue, but light/comfortable. After 2-3 hour rides, I didn't feel any weight. Other Features: vented lens offer less fogging (I wore buff all the time - warm/cold weather, and didn't have any fogging isse yet). Nice protective case included. This would be perfect shades for unpredictable weather condtions!!! Happy Riding!!! ... show more
