This kennel was exactly what we needed! We needed a kennel big enough for our cane Corso that he will still fit when he is fully grown, and that he would have enough room to move around in. This kennel is exactly that, and we can move it around if needed because of the wheels. The only thing I would change is maybe more sturdy locks, but other than that it is perfect. Wow! Talk about the perfect grate for a German Shepherd - this is it! Of course we had purchased a crate for her when she was younger, yet she was too big for it now that we needed it for her recovery from back leg knee surgery. She will also have 2 hip replacements because she has hip dysplasia. Most crates open on one end and have a fixed roof. This crate has a roof that you can open to reach inside. We needed that to help her out of the crate by using a sling under her rear end to help her walk because she could only toe tap using her left hind leg. Also with having the door in the middle meant it was easier for her to get inside and curl up on her pillow. It was super easy to put together and even though we didn’t attach the wheels, having them on would make it so easy to move around! We kept them off because we didn’t want to add any more height to the crate for her to have to step over. We attached the dog door panels to the crate with zip ties to make a “yard” for her to walk around in. This thing is SOLID! After assembly, there is no movement in the crate at all. There are 2 locks to secure the door and the lid! She has plenty of room to move around and she’s 75 lbs. The one thing that I always do in dog crates and bird cages is to remove the bottom grating! That’s not easy on their paws and could possibly hurt their paws, or if their collar is not removed before they are placed in the crate, the tags of the collar can slip in between the grating and then they are trapped to the floor! As a dog trainer, I always reminded my pet parents to remove the dog’s collar whenever they are confining their dog in a crate. Once a smaller dog that we owned got his collar tags caught in the floor register grate. He jerked his head up and couldn’t release himself. Since the register wasn’t screwed into the floor, yet rather just laid on top of the carpet, he finally was able to lift it up. Because of the noise from his first attempt to lift the grate and his whining, I was over there within seconds and easily released the grate from the collar. Yet the floor grate in the crate is fixed with his weight on top, it could be hours before you returned from wherever you were before to find him attached and worn out from the terror of being trapped! So please always remove the collar before crating your dog! ... show more

I just need to say this cage has been an absolute life savor. Prior to this cage, I was literally crying out to Jesus to help me figure something out with my pit bull that kept escaping and out of spite peeing on the side of my chairs and couch. I have been through 3 sets of furniture because of it in a very short amount of time. chewing up my kitchen table and chairs, bathroom door after he locked himself in there, gates, a 6 foot gate, glass windows and much more! I was to the point I didn’t think I could keep him anymore because I’m a single momma that owns a business and I couldn’t keep managing to have someone at my house at all times while I was gone. It is very easy to clean, EXTREMELY sturdy, very easy to put together, material is great! The only bad thing is I do live in a smaller house so it takes up a lot of space but that is on me for saving a big dog haha he is a bigger pit bull and has plenty of space to move around, hold a big bed and still have room for water bowl and food bowl and toys! My husband and I were very impressed with the high quality of the dog crate we purchased. It was very easy to put together. The metal is very strong; the wood is very nice quality and has a smooth finish. The wheels are also well made with locks on two of them. Also, they do not fall out easily as other wheels on crates can do. We bought the crate with the optional second door on the side. This is a good option for small spaces so if the crate doesn't open the right way, you have the option of the other door. Don't hesitate to buy. I adore this dog bed, it is just so lovely in my main living room. The color is called white but it's more an off-white/cream and it's lovely. The metal on the bars is heavy and the wood seems to be solid oak, sure feels like it, both the outside top and the inside bottom are made of this heavy wood and it's gorgeous. I would say this is just about the perfect attractive dog bet - except for one thing. The vertical locks are flimsy on the front double doors (and don't match the quality on the rest of the bed). With a little vibration the top slider locks on the front will come open, so if you don't realize this and only latch the top, the dog will eventually wiggle around enough to make them come open (that happened here just once so far). The door on the end has a much better horizontal lock, which I wish they had put on the front doors. I realize it would have taken extra engineering to make that work and look good, but it would have been worth it and the bed would have gotten 5 stars here. Another thing I didn't like about this purchase was that the sellers had this bed marked much lower than others but then charged a $30 delivery fee. That's poor marketing, they would do better to build that fee into the price of the bed and match the selling price of other similar beds. I am quite pleased with this and need 2 more of these. My video will show you some up close images and explain what I mean about the latches. If I cannot find a high quality bed with an oak top like this for the same price, I will order more of these (and yes, pay the delivery fee again. Oh, also, I did notice that the delivery fee is not lowered if you purchase 2 of these. It's $30 per bed, no matter how many you buy at once. ... show more

Size Purchased: 48/42/38-inch Dog: 75-lb, 1-year-old Husky (escape artist) This crate is legitimately heavy duty. The shipping box alone weighed 84 lbs, so it’s not an exaggeration. If you have a strong, determined dog (especially a Husky), this is not comparable to a standard wire crate. I bought this because my previous Husky escaped cheaper wire crates constantly. Our new rescue Husky is a year old and very high-energy, and I knew a wire crate wouldn’t last. This crate has thick bars, solid construction, and is truly escape proof. He has plenty of room to stand and move around comfortably. Assembly: Very easy. You raise the walls, secure them with 4 bolts, and add 2 screws for the top. Took only a few minutes. The top opens, which is a great feature. Cleaning: Removable metal mesh floor with a removable plastic tray underneath — easy to clean. Mobility: Comes with wheels. Issue & Customer Service: One wheel was stuck out of the box and caused black marks on my light-colored carpet. I contacted Boldbone and they responded quickly and sent a replacement wheel with no hassle. Excellent customer service. Bottom line: If you need a crate that is durable, secure, and actually escape proof, this is a great choice. It’s especially well-suited for strong or anxious dogs. as you can see from the photos, the inmate is currently serving time for crimes in the 48inch cell for eating all of the trash and unauthorized counter surfing. the facility is excellent. plenty of room, solid construction, smooth rolling wheels, and secure locks. the inmate has attempted multiple appeals and has been denied every time. no escapes so far. would incarcerate again. (all jokes aside this is a very good, high quality crate. It is heavy but I prefer a heavy but sturdy crate vs the wire ones that never really hold up and start rusting. This is not the type of crate you fold up and take on a vacation, you can maybe roll it around the house if you want to, or take your dog for a walk outside in it too if you felt like it, I guess.. my dog will sleep in it even with the door open, she likes her, not so little, prison cell. It does look nice however, again it doesn’t kinda give off a jail cell vibe but at least you know your dog is safe and even though my dog doesn’t try to break out of crates I would imagine it would be impossible to break out of this, unless your dog is godzilla or something.. never say never I guess. anyways if your contemplating buying it, just buy it) ... show more
