We have been to foreign countries where oriental rugs are sold. This is an impressive copy of the muted colors and combinations of oriental rugs. This is an understated rug that becomes the focal point of the room. The pattern looks expensive. This also grips the floor and the corners stay down. Keep in mind that these rugs come folded and need a couple of days spread out so they can lie flat. I prefer the low pile because of the tripping hazard for young children and the elderly. Because of this rug's size, I prefer to use a commercial washing machine and air dry it (because of the grippy backing). This is easy to keep clean because the low pile doesn't grab dust and dirt. A quick vacuuming or a broom. Spot cleaning is easy with a damp cloth. The grandkids like to play games while sitting on the rug and our pets love to join them. We like that the low pile makes it easy to open doors without disturbing the rug. We are pleased with the usefulness and handsome looks of this rug in our home. ... show more
