The Bogg bag according to the company weighs 5 pounds without putting anything else in it. It does not really feel any heavier than a traditional, fully stitched and lined, beach bag. However, it will get heavier the more you put in it, but again, so will any beach bag you are trying to stuff and roll to the beach/lake/outdoor activity in. It does stand up on it's own without any issues and it won't blow away in the wind. Will be very easy to wash off with a hose or in the tub if I ever get it that dirty. Feels and smells exactly like a pair of Croc shoes initially. Truly holds everything myself, my husband, and my two kids need. Straps are easy to twist into the proper carrying placement although it can take a second to figure it out. I highly recommend buying a strap holder to keep them together while carrying. You can buy one on Amazon or straight from the Bogg website. I now have this one (boysenberry) for my husband and a green one for my own. I also purchased two more for one of my best friends and my mom. Everyone is in love with it. The biggest downside is the price. I hate the price. On the one hand these bags are so worth it because they are highly functional for busy families. On the other hand, $90 is ridiculous. Special prints/sparkle are $100. I am still giving it 5 stars because it's literally the perfect active bag, but the price does make me cringe. ... show more

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Really happy with my purchase. At first I didn’t understand what the hype was about in reference to these bags, but now that I own one I can definitely say I’m hooked. It’s convenient, durable, holds its shape. The bag is wonderful. The color is beautiful, I used the bag on a two week road trip and had no issues. I used to transport 3 1-gallon water bottles, it never tipped over.
