Bought this phone based off reviews and glad I did. It's replacing my Galaxy A54, which despite being a huge Galaxy fan, I was not thrilled with. The A54 was a couple years old--starting to glitch a lot and slow down while not holding a charge for very long. This one is fast & charges quicker. The battery life isn't as great as I hoped, but it's not bad. Easy to set up, transfer my SIM, and transfer all my files via Smart Switch from my other phone. I use Cricket Wireless, but they didn't have this phone available in 512GB. Found this one here on Amazon as an open box deal and jumped on it. fter spending a few days with the Galaxy S26, the first thing that stands out is just how polished the hardware feels. At 6.3 inches, it hits that elusive sweet spot where the screen is large enough for deep multitasking and video, but the device itself remains incredibly easy to manage with one hand. The build has a dense, premium weight to it that gives you confidence in its durability without feeling like a brick in your pocket. It’s a very intentional design that balances elegance with daily usability. The performance here is noticeably a step up from previous generations, thanks to the latest Snapdragon. Everything from switching between heavy tools to processing high-resolution photos happens instantaneously. There’s a certain fluidity to the animations and app launches that makes the whole experience feel effortless. Even when I’m pushing the processor with more demanding tasks, the phone stays responsive and cool, which speaks to how well the internals are optimized this year. Been very pleased with the S26. I have always had the ultra's but I haven't really noticed the difference between them. My S21 Ultra was no longer getting updates so this one was my new pick. I’ll admit it — buying a phone from Amazon felt a little reckless at first. Usually buying a new phone involves sacrificing half a Saturday at the carrier store while someone named Tyler tries to sell you three screen protectors, insurance, and a smartwatch you never asked for. But this Samsung S26 for my wife? Shockingly painless. The phone arrived on time, packed well, and in perfect condition. Setup was ridiculously easy, and connecting it to Verizon worked without a single issue. No mysterious activation problems, no endless loading screens, no “please contact your carrier” nightmare. It just… worked. I almost didn’t know what to do with myself. Best part? I never had to step foot inside a Verizon store. That alone deserves 5 stars. My wife loves the phone, everything transferred smoothly, and the whole process took less time than waiting in line at the mall kiosk. Honestly, I don’t know why I hadn’t considered buying phones from Amazon before. Apparently you can just order one like a normal person and move on with your life. Who knew? ... show more

    • Worst Expensive Purchase of my Life.

I had a Samsung S9+ for about 7 years that I bought unlocked from Amazon. It was still working perfectly but the battery swelled so even though it was still working perfectly it had to be replaced. The built-in transfer process worked OK from the S9+ to S26, took a total of five hours and I keep nothing extra on my phone. It did not transfer my number or activate the phone. After 12 hours of trying the minimal included instructions, searching the internet, working with Samsung and Verizon AI, I finally got a Verizon customer support on the phone from India. After over and hour of explaining and re-explain the issue and her telling me that she could not help unless I had another phone that I could use to work with her, I got mean. It took her 2 minutes to activate the new phone and move my number. I use a phone for four things: 1) Make phone calls - works. 2) Receive phone calls - about 50% of the time calls go directly to VM without ringing. I tried to check call forwarding (*#21#) and that gives an error message. I tried to turn off all call forwarding (##21#) and that also gave a error message. I called Verizon and the Customer Support in India told me that she "fixed" it - nope! Still get the errors and still calls go to VM. 3) Take pictures for my business projects. I have NO need for them on the phone, so I transfer all to my PC daily. It does not work with Microsoft's Phone link. It does not work with the system. It does not work with USB. If I restart the phone with the USP cable connected and can go to the USB setting and switch from charging to file transfer and then, usually, the files will transfer but sometimes not without another reset. there was absolutely no problem doing it with the S9+ in each method. 4) I play two games while waiting my turn in doctor's offices. They are mostly no longer useable because if they display a TEMU or "Find the Cat" ad there is no way out other than a phone reset. I am using the Device Care app many times a day and resetting the phone several times a day. I don't remember ever resetting my S9+ in seven years. I guess I should switch phones and or providers and maybe just buy a flip phone and a camera and quit playing games. BTW, the phones added MANY apps but having no idea what any are and Samsung providing no information what was the point. ... show more
