I wanted/needed a compact umbrella that opens to a big one. I ordered the 54". But from spoke to spoke it is 48" which they say in the ad. I have opened and closed it a couple of times and it has auto open and close with a very strong spring. Haven't used it in rain yet but I can tell it is a very sturdy umbrella. And the company "bodyglove" is good company that actually e-mailed me before it arrived with instructions and said if I have any questions to please call them. I reccommend this inverted compact umbrella. Only 14" long when closed.

This is a fantastic umbrella, love that it opens out and you don't get wet when leaving your car or a building. It is wide and extremely sturdy ! I would recommend this when traveling or on business trips. A great compact size that can easily fit into travel bags and car pockets.

I have three requirements when buying umbrellas: 1) big, 2) has a push button, 3) is reverse folding. This umbrella satisfies all conditions! Summer has started and I was tired of getting soaked in the constant surprise rain, so I bought this to keep in the car. If you’ve ever tried to manually close an umbrella in the rain while trying to get in a car and closing the door at the same time…..you know how messy it can turn out. This is why a push button is so important for instantly opening and closing the umbrella. The reverse folding is also very necessary unless you want to get your surroundings wet after the umbrella’s closed. It’s also super sturdy and definitely a higher quality than the other umbrella I bought from another brand on Amazon (which also satisfies my three requirements and is cheaper but also looks cheaper).

This umbrella deserves a review: My wife and I were headed to our son's graduation from the Police Academy. It was pouring rain. My wife was worried about her hair, so I was given orders to find an umbrella. I could only find one that was damaged... bent and shredded. So, holding what was left of the junk umbrella over her hair, I get her and her hair in the vehicle okay, but I was drenched and had to show up looking like a hobo. So after a long search on my beloved Amazon, I picked out this super umbrella. After unpacking it I first noticed the hefty weight of the umbrella packed in it's carry bag, it weighs at least double what most foldable umbrellas weigh. Solid. A push of a button and this thing shoots out, FOOMP!! It opened fast enough to startle me! WORTH MENTIONING: Do not open this thing pointed at someone's face. I have no doubt that it would bloody someone's nose! Anyway, I chose the smaller one but it's still larger than most mini umbrellas. The inverted spines work really well. It sheds water like a new wax job. Amazing. I tested it on this last rainy day with wind gusts up to about 25 mph.. It didn't even budge. I think the weight makes it more stable in the hand, so it doesn't feel like it's going to just get snatched out of the hand. To close it, push the down button to unlock it and it goes limp, place the palm of one hand on the tip, the other on the base and then firmly PUSH your hands together until it CLICKS (it's not easy, it takes a little effort) but all in all it's the best umbrella I've ever had... Because I chose the color black, the ship&delivery was fast (and that's saying something nowadays. Yup, it's a keeper! I'm getting another one for my wife. Next time it comes a monsoon, my wife and her hair are on their own.
