First of all, apologies for the poor photo; I was trying to keep my screen covered as much as possible with the box. As you can see, the box has photographs of how to install the shelf, which is easy to understand! It is a pretty large shelf; I had my phone resting on it along with the chapstick and laser mouse cat toy but I had to pick it up to take the photograph, so that's why there isn't much to see! Why four out of five stars? Well, even though pictures show a small plant or cup of coffee sitting on the shelf, I would not feel confident storing anything on the shelf that could potentially spill and ruin the electronics beneath it. The shelf is very light and made of plastic, which is why I have trust issues with liquid things. It would be great for phone, keys, chapstick - things you grab and take with you when going out; heavier items, I'd have more concern storing up there.

This review is for: Bodur Adjustable Screen Top Shelf for Computer Monitors - Increase Your Desk Space and Improve Your Posture I have another similar shelf that's definitely more heavy duty. I needed another shelf for my other monitor, but it didn't need to be nearly as big. I found this one that was smaller and much more reasonably priced. You can set it up on top of your monitor or TV in seconds. It's pretty small, so it's only going to hold so much. I mostly just needed to put a Tivo mini on this one. It's plastic, but it's still pretty darn sturdy. You can definitly bump it off if you're not careful. In my case, things would only fall about 18" onto my desk, so not really an issue. I think you could remedy this by putting some Command strips on the legs that brace it so it would be stuck to the TV or monitor, yet you could easily remove it if needed. Price is great. Hope this was helpful.

If you've set up a webcam, you know how to set up this shelf — the process is pretty much the same. Just hook the front lip over the top of your monitor, and then adjust the back "leg" until it's braced/balanced. That's it! It was super easy to install and didn't require any additional tools. Once it's set up, it can hold a surprising amount of stuff! Use common sense, obviously, and don't overload your poor monitor with super heavy objects; however, for normal usage it works awesome! I usually keep my timer, an emergency snack (sometimes I write for long hours and forget to eat), some spare pens, a hair clip, and a couple other odds and ends. Lately, I've been keeping a "Thought of the Day"/Affirmation card on display on my lil Bodur shelf as well, but you could just as easily keep a calendar or whatever you'd like there. For example, if you're sent a birthday card you could keep it on display via your monitor shelf so you could see it throughout your work day without it getting in the way of your actual workspace :) This is a great lil shelf and I'm happy to have it. I think you will be too! (Oh, and if it helps: I have a 15" monitor).

I've had this on my work monitor for a few months now and I absolutely love it! My figures are in a spot where they're safe from harm (as opposed to being just on my desk) and they're directly within my eyeline. I was worried about the hold which is why I held off on reviewing for so long but it seems those worries were unfounded. This has never fallen, there's no signs of cracking in any of the plastic and it looks brand new. Took all of 2minutes to put up and there's a decent amount of space on top. This would be super cute for plants (as long as the pot is small, too much weight isn't advisable). My monitor is 32" and I could fit at least two of these if I wanted a long shelf across the top. Overall really impressed with this unique product! Only thing I would change is the large printed logo on the front, but I can just scrape that off with a razor blade :)

Bodur's adjustable shelf on top of the monitor is very convenient to have. It was easy to adjust to fit for my monitor. I don't use it for anything like a router, but it works great for my little USB fan and work headphones. I was always struggling to find a place for those headphones and own they have a place that keeps them easy to grab but also easy to put away so my desk area stays nice and tidy. The price point is very affordable. Given the ease of use, I am seriously considering getting a couple more for other desk areas.
