I organized it in the manner of a straightforward assembly line, with the most often used components being placed in the front positions and the infrequent add-ons being placed near the ends. Once you build that muscle memory, it saves time in a way you can actually feel. The act of walking away from the station, opening a new refrigerator, and changing containers around before returning to the work table is not something that I am doing. As an alternative, I remain in the construction zone and complete each order in a manner that is consistent and reproducible. Due to the fact that the whole station remains in front of me, this results in fewer stops, and there are fewer errors made during the lunch rush. Maintaining the same layout makes it simpler to do the same builds over and over again, which is another way in which it enhances consistency. Similarly, the front preparation area has proven to be quite useful. After I have finished spreading, layering, and performing rapid cuts on the preparation area, I wash it off and go on to the next stage of the process. When it comes to pizzas, I am able to construct them from beginning to end without having to transform the rest of the kitchen into a staging area. Because the assembly area is right there and the ingredient line is in front of you, the process is still logical even when someone else is helping you. This means that you are not banging elbows or looking for tools. During times of high demand, I regularly open the top part, and the ingredients continue to remain cool and enjoyable to work with so long as I limit the amount of time I spend open to a minimum and with a specific purpose. The storage space in the bottom cabinet is a lot more beneficial than I had anticipated. Because there is around 8 cubic feet of space under the station, I am able to store backups just below it and rapidly refill pans without having to leave the work area. Whenever the station is running short on lettuce, cheese, sliced proteins, or sauces, I am able to quickly replenish the supplies and keep the station running.

We added this refrigerated salad bar station to our small restaurant and it has been a great upgrade. The stainless steel inside and outside looks very clean and professional. Customers can see it right away and it gives a good first impression. The surface does not show fingerprints easily which saves us cleaning time during busy hours.
